The first issue of 'Muscle Builder' magazine, August 1953, by Joe Weider, had Mr. Ross at the editorial helm. Clancy appeared in the 1940's short feature 'So You Want To Be A Muscle Man'.

He was known as the 'King of Bodybuilders'. This was not for how many titles he had won, but for how his presence and aura lifted the sport. Mr. Ross was inducted into the Joe Weider Hall of Fame in the year 2000.
