A little known story about Bob Chick....now he knows who I am, but we don`t hang out or anything, and he doesn`t know me very well as a person, and vice versa.....though we have crossed paths quite a few times.

When I had Cancer I was on Facebook ( I rarely go there but had to vent)...I was on my pity pot crying the blues, and I was very depressed and feeling sorry for myself and up pops Bob who gave me a long inspirational heartfelt speech which actually inspired me to pull up my skirt and put on my big boy boots and deal with my problem instead of being a whiny bitch.....after all,I created the problem.

My point is that he didn`t have to do that or say anything at all to me,I`m an insignifigant dust mote in bodybuilding,but Bob cared enough, and was kind enough to do that for me.

That goes a long fucking way in my book.

There`s also a ton of great people here who helped me immensely.....they know who they are.....way too many to name them all.

Bob says he doesn't speak for the IFBB, yet the background logo for his podcast says "IFBB & NPC news direct from the tap source."

I like Bob, but you can understand the confusion there.

Example:

I HATE when UFC referees say "Now HOOK 'EM UP!" [touch gloves]

Referees should NEVER give orders that aren't absolutely compulsory.

Referees should ONLY tell athletes to do things they are required to do.

Athletes are NOT required to touch gloves, and refs should only ever say "If you WANT to touch gloves, do it now."

That's it.

Likewise, there are valid reasons why people look at Bob as an official IFBB voice. For starters, that's what he calls himself, lol.

I'm reminded of a communication I had with thcocksucker Jim Manion:

Gaspari Nutrition hired a company to remove all Gaspari copyrighted videos from YouTube. Then all my videos even showing a few seconds of the Gaspari booth got removed.

I had gotten all the necessary permissions, my IFBB press pass, etc.

So just to be sure, I e-mailed that old cock Jim Manion.

His response:

"I highly doubt vendors will want you around their booth with a camera."

"I highly doubt"?

FUCKING cock.

How about "I'm not sure."

And ALL the promoters wanted me taking videos of their booth. It was just more promotion for them [free advertising].

But I e-mailed Manion expecting to get an "official" response from the IFBB. And the ONLY response was "Permissions are granted from the promoter and booth vendor."

Period, end of.

Instead, the old POS gave his opinion, which AT THE TIME, I took as valid, and being from the IFBB.

Ultimately one reason why I stopped covering IFBB events is because I didn't want to be bossed around by that old fuck.

Jim Manion enjoys having power over bodybuilders who could break him in two. John Romano said that, and he's right.

What I learned from that is to only take orders from people absolutely in charge. Even Arnold's opinion on who should win the Arnold Classic doesn't matter. It's up to the judges.

Also, during fake pandemics, health officials have no legal authority to give orders.

So Bob is right - he doesn't speak for the IFBB.

HOWEVER...you can understand the confusion.

I watched the whole video.

Bob makes good points. But I do think it's reasonable for people to think he represents the IFBB, even if that's not an official role.

As with any job, people get promoted if their views are in line with the companies they work for.

Bob didn't do it intentionally [well - possibly], but he had views in line with the values of the IFBB, and has had tremendous success as a result.

So...thing is...people do think of Bob as an official source, even if he has never explicitly said that.

I think that can be cleared with by just clarifying that.

Bob should take it as a compliment that people look at him as a trusted/valued source of IFBB news. And he does sort of brand himself that way, so...

Palumbo putting words in Bob's mouth = not cool, if true.

Bob mostly won this one, Palumbo pokes at him a lot, and was doing it a lot the last episode. The Big Ramy thing seems like it could be mostly a misunderstanding. I doubt the IFBB would be direct like that with Ramy, and Bob is a company man, he isn't going to tell people to retire. The "Bob told him to take time off / rest", and Ramy took that and other online opinions badly seems likely.

The audio is a lot better, but could be cleared up a little more, it talks a while to get that right. Also could be a little shorter or he needs to  bring in a unobtrusive sideman to help keep things moving a little. You don't want to be like Trigili with multiple rehashes of the same thing through the video.
