With all due respect, Kev only had 5 months to train, imagine a full year. He also had injuries, so there's that.

Don't forget though, Kevin is a grow into the shows bber, he'll surpass his 03-form in 5 months and will be even better in 2017 after 8 months of training.

Still a great showing for someone closing in on 70.

He's going to have a heart attack and fall into the pool and die

Yep...

Seeing Taylor in sweatpants reminds me of what Flex Wheeler said recently when he was being interviewed with Cutler,.  That is, when you get older and your legs get considerably smaller, you tend not to wear shorts in public anymore, and opt for sweatpants instead.

they get smaller because as you get older you get wiser and realise that big legs look fucking stupid.

just came across this pic, really brings it home how when he opened up his physique he was way behind his previous form

Kevin at the 2016 Mr. Olympia actually looked very similar to the way he looked at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix. He looked flat and his legs were gone.

Yep true that.

Kevin is going to fall into the same category as Ronnie soon, he never listened to his body in terms of training goes, still trying to bench 405 on his 50's, while guys like Dexter changed their ways of training to adapt to age and further longevity

bevo did you see his training videos from recently he was trying to lift weights he couldnt handle . half reps and sloppy form.    i wonder if that chest  tear was recent.

i bet he is on more drugs now then in the 90's.

Hmm but he's stood relaxed, he didn't hit a fdb and show the thing at prejudging did he? It exposes all weaknesses, the size and development just wasn't there

This^^^ Almost anyone in shape looks great relaxed. It's when the raise up their arms and hit a pose when everything changes...Many powerlifters in decent shape look good in the relaxed pose. Ask them to hit bodybuilding shots and it's a whole new ball game...

Kevin just waited too long. He should have done this in 2009
when he was getting back in shape then.
Strydom and Benfatto minus injuries looked excellent coming back at 46-47
yrs. old. Freeman went down around 47 and it will happen to Dex by 50. (Legs)
You can fight father time but the body changes alot BBing wise around that 47 year
mark.
Taylor has been the best over 50 but his legs had still diminished
quite a bit and they would have been worse at 52.

Youtube from 2009

Yea I've noticed this with wrestlers through the years too, they look good standing there but flex a bicep and there's nothing there and the size disappears.  Levrone had noticeable inches missing off of everything,  his forearms looked like sticks in comparison.

I agree. He should have made his comeback in 2009/2010 when he started getting back in shape. Don't know why he waited until 2015/2016. A mid 40's Kevin would have been better than an early 50's Kevin.
