so realistically how with america 'end'?
« on: December 06, 2014, 08:40:39 PM »
i don't see a relatively violent end.  i predict a bit of a meltdown combo of ferguson style mobs running amok from rampant inflation and demands for more benefits.  this to be followed by a brief period of martial law before a final institution of a socialist style 'democracy' modeled after western european versions.  i could also see the president become 'putin-like' and farming enough power to effectively control the government and prevent power challenges.

what do you think is likely?

America has already "ended", people just don't know it yet.  When they figure it out the shit is really gonna hit the fan.

I suggest everyone start doing cardio because "in war if you can't run, it's time to die".  Also, learn to shoot straight because it's gonna come in handy.

It has ended.

The United States will fragment into pieces.  There are to many groups with opposing interests. There are no many on benefits and not enough people to pay for them. The center cannot hold.

Geography will play a part.  States like California are the Canary in the coal mine.  As California goes, so goes the Nation.

I was really into "everything is going to collapse" about 8 years ago.

Now I just feel it'll be a gradual decline over decades, like the frog in the boiling water enjoying the warming bath.

yep.  i can't see a red dawn style invasion happening.  more like a slow rot into general disarray until everything is unrecognizable by the few who live long enough to know the difference.

California is an example of the combination of high tax rates and to many on public benefits.  Industry is moving out of California and this will only increase the problem of huge entitlement spending.

Exactly and it's only going to get worse.  It's spreading and can't be contained.  Demographic changes all but guarantee the welfare state will only grown larger.   A recent Pew poll indicated that the overwhelming majority of Hispanic immigrants are in favor of bigger government.  A large underclass, minimal industry and a welfare state equal a slow death.  Can't keep the lights on when no one pays the bill.

America has been dead since 2000.
