Check out how Ireland's unemployment rate has gone from 4.6% in 2006 to 14% in 2010 and you'll see why no one is defending them. Even while Ireland was poised to make tremendous economic gains on the world stage.

Well, we all give the governments free money all the time. It's called taxes.

So they're, technically, not panhandling, they're just getting some of THEIR OWN cash back.
