um yeah...thats why its a movie..

I see it as no different than a guy getting in a high tech suit and shooting ray beems at bad guys

I was expecting to be blown away but it took a long time to get moving. Denzel wasn't even in shape but he acted it well. The best thing about it was the inventive kills.

It could've been executed better. Throughout the entire movie there was like 5 minutes where 1 man had any struggle in dismantling the entire Russian Mob. Cheesy.

The cast was borderline but Denzel was A+.  It's trilogy worthy, and I'm sure the budget will go up for the next installment.   It's definitely better than Jason Bourne, most of the Bond movies and that laugh-er, Lucy.

Does this movie have anything to do with the TV show of the same name?  My interest was peaked when I saw the previews.  Denzel does well in these kinds of roles.  I think being older actually brings a lot of weight to the role.  He's a man who has seen and experienced a lot.
