In the movie Navy Seals with Charlie Sheen at the beginning when he jumps of the bridge.  That is my friend and person who got me into stunts Eddie Braun.  We grew up together.  He was Charlies double as also Tony Danza, Jackie Chan and others.  He actually broke his leg on that jump which was not planned.

My friend who I have been talking about had a really nice Rolex watch on.  My other friend asked him about it.  He said there was quite atory behind it but not sure if he should tells us cause it was about a mission he was on.  In short, my friend didn't kill a guy that was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  This guy apparently was on the up and up and my friend believed him and he was not killed.  The guy thanked my friend by giving him his watch.  He insisted and my friend ended up taking it.  My friend later found out the guy was telling the truth and that he owned a rather large jewelry store in New York.  The whole story was unreal though.

Are there any Seals on here cause I can bet you know my friend TB.  He has been around along time with the SEALS.  He runs the website I put down earlier.  At least I think he still does

Good, but not the best.....the pinnacle of special forces is the 22nd regiment...the SAS....

...in fact the US's Delta Force was modelled on the SAS....the founder of Delta Force, Col.Beckwith set it up in 1977....he himself had served in the SAS some years earlier on an exchange program between the US and UK and liked what he saw....the organisation, selection and training found in Delta Force is based on what Beckwith experienced with the SAS.

I worked with a special forces guy at a club in college.  He was an Army Ranger, and a Green Beret before that, or vice versa.

Really cool guy.  He was going to school after he got out of the Rangers.  He wanted to get a degree and start a family.

We could never get the guy to loosen up.  He was always stiff.  He could handle the drink pretty good though. lol  Still would never loosen up though, no matter how much he had to drink.

He said a lot of the ex special forces guys could make a good living doing mercenary work for private military services.

I'm more interested in the training of Delta Force members. Those guys are he elite of the elite, of the armed forces. Do you have any information about their training?

SUCKMYMUSCLE

i think they still deny that delta actually exists. it depends on the jobs too, as far as the training goes. they all train in the same places and know the same shit. delta specializes in hostage rescue, snatch and grabs,  etc.

I couldnt think of a worse job than to be a SEAL. The training alone is so brutal. Being in sub zero temperatures in the ocean as a daily job would be awful. Gotta hand it to them.

BUDS is in Coronado.....

Most liekly this guy ran a program or school out of Guam which used Seal instructors.

That is very common around the world.

Hey...I know someone from Guam ;D!!

Hey it's better than being like Squadpussy who since he can't do anything or be anybody he makes fun of the people who can to make him feel better.  Now imagine how much that must suck  :-\

You have to have mental toughness and good swiming abilities to be a seal.

And be able to get a good clubbing once in a while...

A very good friend, who is now a DJ on a regional rock station, was a seal for 4 years during Viet Nam.  The stories are unbelievable, but true.  out of 100 applicants, 5 are accepted and only 1 on average finishes SEAL training.  Some of the underwater explosives take up to 3 minutes of holding your breath to install.  Try it.  I can't see how it's humanly possible for some of the shit these very special people are able to achieve.  There was a special on DSC a few years ago which we watched together.  He told me they down played alot of the more nastier things like eating grubs, bark, silent killing, bloodless noiseless killing.  Like I said, special men for a specail job.

If he was in Vietnam, he couldn't have been a SEAL, he would have been a member of UDT.  UDT was the predecessor of SEALs.

The seals are in a league of their own when it comes to endurance and holding their breath.

I was in the special forces as a ranger.
Hated being cold, hungry, and dead tired due to not sleeping for over 48hours.
Lots of people in the platoon got injured for life during training.

Still it was nothing like the seal training, pure softcore in comparison.

Keep in mind the seals during the Vietnam war were very different from
how the training is today.

The best thing is when a guy lies about being in special forces or whatever and someone who was really there calls him on it.

Happened at work, this cook, Borges, liked to pretend he was in the Green Berets in the army.  One day this big but quiet guy asked him if he knew so and so and had ever been to such and such. Borges said no.  Then the big guy said

the only way you wore a green beret

is if you took off your underwear and wore it on your head
