More than half of the cigarettes sold in New York State are smuggled in from other places to avoid the Empire State's taxes on smokes, which have soared nearly 200 percent since 2006, according to a report issued by the conservative Tax Foundation.

The smuggling problem "is a lot smaller than the study lets on," said Thomas Carr, director of national policy at the American Lung Association, noting that the Tax Foundation's data come from the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, which has received funding from the tobacco industry. smoking is a dangerous habit FOR THOSE AROUND YOU.
It baffles me how a person can happily light up, and fill a room or corner with a foul-smelling POLLUTION without as much as an apology. Sometimes they'll exhale it, like hey, let's all enjoy a mixture of co2 from your lungs + some toxin smoke byproduct.
I'm cool with people dipping til their stupid-ass jaw falls off. But smoke affects others. Everytime I see a person smoking in a car with their kids, I seriously want to hit them with a brick.

No joke here, but if you can find those old vending machines from back in the day, you can make some really decent coin at auctions with them.
I have an antique German dispenser that looks like a giant wheel with spokes and glass front in my garage. If I can ever get someone to fix it for me, I could snag a pretty good amount with a site like Red Baron or somewhere.

I chew once in a while at work. I get grizzly wintergreen. two tins for $8 at my 7-11. a tin lasts me about 1.5-2 weeks so I spend $8-12 a month on my tobacco habit.
