nope. but i am from a really crappy part of cleveland. and the minute poor people smell money, they look for an angle, and they kiss ass. You ever see how polite the most crass people will be when they're trying to convince a guy with a tie that they are worthy of welfare benefits? Multiply that times 10,000. They know that if they can get 5 min alone with Kobe, read him some sob story about some trick that set them up (kobe can relate), that kobe might break the guy off $10k for some good karma.

Yeah I seen on ESPN a few days ago where Mike Vick is playing quarterback for the prisons football team and washin dishes. Guys that came from that type of background have alot of respect for and look up to athletes with alot of physical talent.

I guarantee you that if Kobe Bryant, or even the whitest of white players like Steve Nash, showed up to play ball on a Saturday afternoon in Oakland there would be tons of regular guys that live in that neighborhood that would just love to be out there balling with them and testing their game against an NBA star.

As well, I was driving right at the coliseum where the A's play, and saw a huge stand-off between the cops and someone. A cops car jump the median, does a donut and the officer gets out wielding his weapon. Three more cars come careening down San Leandro Blvd. and stop traffic, right across from the Bart Station.

When you grow up and ain't got shit, sports can be a great outlet. Just going out there and balling all day and night like so many people in the ghetto do. NBA pros have been testing their games on the streets going back to Wilt in the early days, and probably long before that, but my basketball history isn't all that great.

west oakland is almost as bad as east oakland (which should really be called south oakland)

Within 2min of my truck pulling up, people are on me asking for the spoiled product I throw away. If I don't give it to them, they'll kick the truck, threaten me or come back later on and break the window and/or mirrors.
One guy was jumping in the dumpster for the product, was told to get out and threatened to have the police called. He came back within 10min and lit a fire behind the building.
We sometimes leave the roll-up door open if another truck is pulling in...once two kids just drove in checking out the scene. I asked them what they were looking for, obvious they don't belong there (cornrows and the typical "thug attire"). They said they're waiting for their friend (pointing to a truck with the doors open). The "friend" was a 55 year old white man, when I approached their "friend" they drove out and parked in the parking lot where they found their real friend. "Shook hands" said 'What's Up?!?!" and then turned around and left. Hmmm, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what the hell they did.
MacArthur is a pretty bad area...Oakland itself is generally within the top 5 murder rates in the US every year.

I know there's one in Hayward. I used to play this shithole called Sherry's, and after we were done, we'd all head over to the Giant Burger. The guy there looked like he went straight from the Navy/US Service to the Giant Burger upon discharge. Dude cooked a MEAN burger. Great shit, as long as the cheese didn't fall and melt on your shirt as you tried to steer your car!!!

you don't understant oakland until you go there man. its one of the premiere places where blacks started to have no respect for anyone, black, white or purple (thank you for that... failed black panther movement). the common black would look at Kobe and view him as a threat to their territory, much like a gorilla. Since the black motto is "show'em whatcha got," they would immediately ignore Kobe or try and kick his ass. Its pretty common. i've been through bad parts of SF and LA (went to a house party in south central, one of three white dudes there... no problems everyone was cool, i was playing in a gospel/funk/R&B band) and didn't feel unsafe, but the bad parts of oakland are bad enough to make me a bit hesitant. Oakland is the worst of the worst, maybe only east detroit ranks worse... but i doubt it. Oakland is a mess.

In the moral sense - Of course teachers should make more than rappers, and doctors should make more than NBA players. And of course, our troops should make great money, and drug dealers should make zero.

So going by your logic, then all laws should be preterred for the market, because they are made by corrupt men. There is a market for pedo snuff, where children are filmed being raped and then killed and sold to perverts. Without laws establishing severe penalties, a lot of perverts who would otherwise not do this for fear of punishment will do it. Laws might be made by flawed men, and they might be to a large degree anchronistic and biased, but they are the only protection civilization has against the moral-less market. The market is essentially the law that animials live by, where the strongest survive and where you live only to indulge your desires. We Humans are better than this. We organized into a Society, which means sacrificing egocentric desires that are harmful to to others as well as cooperating and showing altruistic behavior to others.

However, the treatment has left me with some problems good and bad. i have increased tyrosine hydroxylase because of it and can store information like a computer. However, my cranium is shaped oddly due to this as my frontal lobe is exceedingly large. Thus i have little to no emotion and can kill a man without flinching. My greatest emotion is apathy but i get over that because my brain has an extra lobe, if you could see what i look like youd thing "he looks smart", i literally have a head the size of Haiders turbin. I have webbed fingers and toes but excel at swimming and biochemistry, i vowed to attend medical school to cure or remedy some of my problems.
