What's funny to me is that - although a far cry from her "Sunny Days" - she looks exactly as I remember when meeting her and Candido backstage at one of our indy shows c. 2004.
It's like she "devolved" to a certain level and has just stayed there for the last 15 years. No better or worse - at least the few times I've seen her since then. The only discernible difference is the amount of tan and makeup.

One thing I immediately noticed during my very brief time “in the biz”:
It seemed that most of the current “users” still consumed the same drugs/substances they did when they were at their respective peaks in the business.
The 80’s guys still did hard stuff like coke.
The 90’s guys were still doing Rx meds like perc’s and vic’s.
Pot was a “shared commodity.”
Bear in mind this was around 2004-ish. I don’t know what it’s like now.

I’ll never forget one time shooting the shit with Balls Mahoney outside the back of the building away from the marks. We hit it off very well, despite the fact that we were both natural bullshitters.
Balls told me in detail his AAS stack he’d been using to cut up and look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from any other point in his career. This was during the brief time he changed his hair and ring gear. He actually potato'ed a fan who didn't recognize him at an event.
We shared a few small laughs.
He gave the impression of a somewhat unstable but genuinely nice human being.
I felt terrible when he asked me if I had any weed, and I told him no because I don’t smoke.
He just smiled and said, “Awe, fuck man… That’s okay. Hey, do you know who I could get some cigarettes from?”
I was still new and had just met a lot of those people for the first time that afternoon (lots from TNA and ROH). I had to concede I didn’t know the answer to his second question either.
I really felt like I let the crazy bastard down.

Lol, great story Monte! I don't think the drug/alcohol usage is nearly like what it was back in the 80's 90's and early millennium. It may be but I think it was just a fad at the time. Hell, even Jake and Scott Hall got clean now and have been for quite some time.
