Most dangerous would be one where there's lot of injuries during practice.

Hope this helps.

I'd say generally BJJ is the best for ground and Tai Boxing is the best stand up. However it also is like BB not all techniques or styles are good for all people. Usually in any battle the best attack is the one no one sees comming so ideally I think every one should build their own style out of moves from all the arts. Just make shure the moves you use are actually functional and easy to use for you! Knowing a mix of several styles makes it easy to change strategies and do more un predictable things, plus you unearth more weaknesses for other styles, for example wrestling has several good counters for BJJ moves. Anyways thats my 2 cents ;)

Dim Mak.  That's the fuckin' death touch... :o

OK, I'd actually say muay Thai just b/c of the explosiveness of the art.  Really, it's hard to say one is the most dangerous.  It's who's using it; I met a guy who trained Savate, and his kicks were ridiculously powerful.

the very first thing that came to mind was Muay Thai, good to see were all on a wave length here! You have a 1 on 1 street fight with a Muay Thai fighter and chances are youre getting a shit load of damage inflicted on you

I would say Tae Kwon Do

only because those who train it become delusional and think they can fight, which tends to become very "dangerous" on their part ;D

Standing - Muay Thai

Ground - BJJ

Self-Defense - BJJ

Ironically, I've found these to be the most enjoyable to train.

Boxing is very good but it has some major weaknesses, no ground game, no clinch game, no kicking so you probly wont see all those moves coming. But I think and person who is intent on beeing really kick ass should learn boxing also. IMHO anyways.

I agree, against something like muay thai boxing won't do anything, but it's always good to know and have a good solid understanding of punching.

if a good boxer takes you by surprise or gets the first punch in then you could be in serious trouble. If you take them to the ground they are like a fish out of water. With Muay Thai you have the advantage of knowing what to do in a clinch and have the use of every tool at your disposal, i.e. elbows, knees etc. They can damage you in ways a boxer never could

Gun Kata's sister art of cachingkapow is much more lethal.  No forms to learn, just live fighting with differing calibers, ranges, presentations, stances.   ;D

Lots of fights end before going to the ground. Using kicks in a real fight would be stupid 99% of the time.
A good boxer would knock most out. Including thai boxers.

Computer games are not real. I guess you never experienced a good solid low-kick to your upper leg. Just look for a really good thai boxer to give you one.

Hope that helps.

You've never been in a street fight have you? Most pussys throw 2-3 punches and end up tackling each other to the ground. But, a boxer would more than hold his own standing in a fight.

I have. I've trained Muay Thai for 10 years. And still I would hesitate to throw kicks in a real fight.

Straight right (or left) tends to be a good defense for the low roundhouse kick.

a stiff front kick to the stomach or chest is probably the best way to start a fight, unless youre close enough to grab them and headbutt their nose. Ive had enough street fights to know that Muay Thai is better in a pub brawl than normal boxing. Saying that there is a pro boxer who goes out with a woman i work with. Hes 135lbs soaking wet, is about 5'4, fights around 125 and knocked out 4 farmers who were literaly twice his size in a brawl not too long ago. The guys a fucking animal from what i hear, although to look at him you would probably think you could bully him with a red belt in Karate

In a real fight you would want to finish it as quick as possible. Kicking wouldn't do the job (unless you're Crocop) and going to the ground would be something you want to avoid. That pretty much leaves it with punching and nobody is better at that, than boxers.
Conclusion = boxing is the best.

That being said, Chuck's style would probably be ideal for a real fight.

True. Obviously it wouldn't hurt to learn a little ground game, but if I had to pick between say BJJ and Boxing I'd pick Boxing. Might not be considered a cool choice in this day and age, but that's what I'd pick  ;)

I've knocked someone out with one left high roundhouse before. He was a boxer. It was a streetfight. He tried to charge in with a flurry of punches and ate the kick.

Another fight I knocked the guy out with 4 straight punches to the face.

Another fight I came in with hard left hook (similar to the one Fedor used on Zulu) and followed it with a straight right from the hip and the guy was down. Gave him a few punches on the ground too, but I didn't stomp him.

the key word in that statement is USED to wrestle.Iv got chucks last fifteen fights on dvd.i challenge you to name a fight were he purposely took some one to the ground.yea he's been on the ground but thats not his bread and butter.

Are you trying to tell me that you don't think chuck uses his wrestling knowledge to SPRAWL and to not go to the ground. The best way to beat a wrestler is to strike them, just like the best way to defeat a puncher is to wrestle them... Rule has exception but name one of chucks last 15 fights were he didnt fight a wrestler.... I cant think of one of my head. He might have but i dont remember much of it.... So yeah Chuck reverts back to wrestling to stay on his feet where he punches like a wild crazy man.

Cut kicks rule in real fights what the hell u all talkin about ??? I've seen many fights end with one cut kick to the head or legs, and the dude with un conditioned shins gets a broken leg in one kick? i have trouble beliving u took tai for 10 years? BS or u would know what ur talking about lol and btw you dont have to be cro cop to knock some one out with a cut kick either ;) if your conditioned and know how to cut kick proper its pritty much game over if u land it! u just have to set kicks up alittle and they work just fine. ushally all i have to do is look down and 90% of ppl think ur stricking low and when they bend dwn to block it u go to the head.

hell i seen one of my buddys who is 5 foot fuck all do a jumping cut kick on a dude who was 6'2 and took him out in one shot and this gut is seirously smaller thanmy 13 year old son lol this wouldent work on a trained fighter granted but how many ppl train? and out of than how many train hard core 5days a week? not many this is why some times even shitty styles like TKD work. no offence btw Bluto I'm not trying to diss u it's just the things u say sometimes make no sense.

a decent Muay Thai fighter can effectively utilize elbow strikes when in close and they can smash your pretty boy looks right off your face
Title: Re: which is the most DANGEROUS martial art?

Really no kicks ??? then ppl are dumb a straight kick to the knee works good too same to the nuts!
When ppl grab ur arms just one fast front kick to the knee or nuts and see how long they hold on to u?
or a snap kick  under the chin sice the're holding u they cant block it. I think u guys are thinking about long distance kicks like in TKD but u can throw some kicks in a clinch too but they have to be quick thats all.

I would NEVER use spin kicks or jumping kicks I think those are too risky IMO

Kicks DO work in real fights. If you don't believe so, that's because you aren't well versed in using them. If you've been trained to kick they should feel like a natural movements. As I said, I've knocked out a typical street boxer with one left high roundhouse. He was bobbing back and forth and being jittery like Phil Baroni always does in his fights, and I could tell he was going to charge in with a flurry and "BAM" he was out. Timing was perfect.

Better than a roundhouse though, is a front kick to the gut or chest as your coming in, with punches, or if they're charging in on you a front snap kick. Otherwise, kick like you're kicking through them or knocking down a door.

Also headbutts, elbows, and if you really want to hurt them bad throat strikes and groing strikes. One poke to the eye will end a fight instantly, but that's harder to employ than it sounds, and you don't want to do that unless you plan on causing permanent damage.
