I was one of the few Hillary voters that cautioned everyone it would be a close election in 2016.
Considering she won the popular vote by 3 million . Trump won the elec. college by getting Penn , Ohio and Michigan by a
combined total of 90,000 votes , so it was close for the win.


You never know until the votes are counted, BUT, this looks good for the dems right now.

I'm predicting a 30-40 house seat gain for the dems in 2018. Hold me to that and we'll see who's right in 4 weeks.

The mid term for a first term president is notoriously brutal.

Trump could very well lose the House but if he retains the senate (and I believe he will) then it's a solid triple.

That will result in more and more federal judges being seated as the senate controls the process.

If he can replace Ginsburg or another liberal Justice with a conservative type judge then it becomes an absolute home run.

Ginsburg is old, but she's not dead or as far as anyone knows dying. She plans to retire in 5 years in 2023. Stephen Breyer is also pretty old. Any Supreme Court Justice could announce their retirement at anytime regardless of their age or political leaning. What happens with the Supreme Court Justices depends on Trump getting reelected in 2020. It's far too soon to bet on that happening.

Republican Charlie Baker +39 in blue Massachusetts.

Republican Larry Hogan +18 in blue Maryland

How about Gavin Newsom in California going from +29 in late June to only +12 now.  

Greg Abbott +20 over "Loopy" Valdez in Texas makes sense. I think that guy could make a solid presidential run at some point.
