When i diet i try my hardest just to maintain strength. Yesterday at the gym though my brother kept saying how much weaker he was on shoulder press so maybe it is true. My thoughts are you will notice it more on exercises where you lift heavier weights. So that makes sense why people say shoulders. Now with bench it is easier to cheat and bounce the bar to keep the same weight whereas you can't do that with shoulders.
Depends on genetics. I gained strength on shoulders on my current cut.

i concur with leg strength loss, even though i started training legs again right when i started dieting..i think its because of the cardio personally, you only use your legs
No leg strength loss yet...probably will happen soon enough...fucking injured myself today as well...
In my experience, some strength will be lost in the beginning, then it should stay the same or only very slowly decline. On some exercises, strength will even come back some. If you feel like you lose strength too fast, I would up calories a little.
As fat as I am...upping the calories is a no go but I was depressed today so I stuffed my face like a pig anyway....

You can keep all your strenght and still lose alot of sizeso it doesn't matter how much strenght you keep

haha cheers i was 235 today in socks and boxers.I think eating everthing in site is helping my injury. almost non existant atm whioch is great
