Title: Expensive Clothes
Post by: the trainer on April 18, 2014, 02:58:30 PM
Do you getbiggers wear expensive clothes, its a total waste of money if you have a good physique I have gone out in a  $10 tight shirt and got more attention than the dude in his $400 shirt.

I don't know what back woods or ghetto some of you guys come from but if you want to look GQ you have to dress the part. A $ 50 rip off tee shirt, jeans and air Jordan or colorful clown sneakers make you look like a buffoon.  Take a girl to a restaurant dressed like this guy and the girl will creme in their thong.  Why am I wasting my age acquired wisdom? Youth is wasted on the youth.

I dont waste money taking women to restaurants, I invite them over to cook for them, women love a man who can cook then I order some takeout put it in some pots on the stove she tells me i am a great cook, then I close the deal.

That dude is dressed without any sense of imagination....I bet he's a boring dork in real life.  The shirt is well-fitted, I must admit, but the pants are too tight (notice how the pockets flare out), and a white shirt and blue-striped is about as generic as it gets.

Good to see you have pictures of well-dressed men within easy reach though

jay cutler has denied using oil.

the odd bumps all over his biceps are due to tears he incurred 3 weeks before the Olympia.  The bruising and damage didn't occur until the day of the show.  Dude has terribly luck.  No marks for weeks, then BOOM, night of the show, big infected torn up bicep.

Casual clothes are just fine cheap. You're dealing with stretchy fabrics that conform. Anything with structure (jeans, dress shirts, other dress clothes) are things that will look bad if you don't get quality.

Anybody with more extreme bodies (bbers or women with a big difference between chest/waist, chest/hips/waist, hips/waist) is going to have to pay attention to fit or get stuff tailored.

But that's ok, go ahead and spend hours in the gym to get that V, and ruin it by wearing a shirt that gives you a gut

I do not wear overly expensive clothing. You do not need to wear $400 shirts or pants to get girls. However, the places I do shop are somewhat pricey, but not all that pricey. My favorite clothing stores are "Express," "G by Guess," and "Armani Exchange."

You sir, are correct with but a minor addendum -  All too often the wisdom of our elders is not only lost on youth, but so too are the benefits.

depends on where your live and work. If I wore a tie to work, I would get ask by co-workers if I'm up for a promotion.  :D

I don't buy expensive cloths but every man should have a nice suit. Its embarrassing to see men in cheap suits.you only need one. Go get a custom made suit, cost no more than a round of g.h. Mens warehouse is not the place to go, ok for everyday for work, but not for social occasions that requires a suit.

I do not wear overly expensive clothing. You do not need to wear $400 shirts or pants to get girls. However, the places I do shop are somewhat pricey, but not all that pricey. My favorite clothing stores are "Express," "G by Guess," and "Armani Exchange."

Express clothing

For every 5 pairs of jeans I might find one that fits nicely and don't get tossed in closet. I'll grab a few nice pairs of shoes, a few nice sweaters and long sleeves and then t-shirts I just grab from Old Navy. Their v-necks fit really nice and they go on sale for like $4 so I grab fuck loads of those.

When Armani Exchange and Guess stores have sales I'll grab a few nice shirts there too. And I have two suits that are tailored nicely (both CK). You don't need an ultra expensive suit, but just get it tailored nicely by someone who knows their shit. I get my suits from an old Italian guy and his wife does all the tailoring. She's amazing. I don't have the prettiest mug but it's amazing how much you'll clean up with a nicely tailored suit. I used to think it was pretentious and douchey fashion advice but I was so wrong. Every man needs a nice suit.

it doesn't take any level of talent to dress in any clothes peroid unless you have no arms or legs and are litrally a head and a torso, only then would you be talented to dress yourself.

the talent is not in putting on the clothes, is the choosing OF the clothes, picking what looks good together etc.

Yes, every man needs a suit.  I don't care who you are or what part of the economic ladder you're on. You can get suits at the frigging Good Will. Just make sure it matches and presto, gay men will be following you around to get a better look at your butt Pussy 4 dayz!! There's no excuse to dress like ass. Straight men, buying a suit and nice clothing in general is one of the smartest choices you can make in your lifetime. Trust me, ladies love a well dressed man who dresses smart and professional. That and a huge penis(but come on, who doesn't love that?) Don't forget the nice watch and definitely style your hair. A good haircut goes a long way. You'll feel better, you'll have more confidence and you'll turn a lot of gay guys on(and women).

I'm so sick of seeing grown ass men walking around like a 14 year old boy picked out their clothes for them. Man children= epidemic.

I hate sun glasses but I have a very expensive pair that were a gift. I think they were 600 bucks.   I never wear them.   I am in the market for a watch but I haven't found one yet.  Im looking at 300/500 budget.    I only wear steve maddens for comfort.. so usually 150/200 a pair

I enjoy dressing up but in a business casual attire.  My favorite is jeans, a dress shirt and dress shoes.  When you're well built women just love that shit as they wonder what you're packing under.  I have an Invicta watch i bought at a discount store for 80$.  You'd have to be a watch connosseir to know if its an old model or not.  I'm not and i don't give a fuck.

I thnink the more hideous you look, the more you gotta put into your look and wear expensive shit.  If you have a decent face and a above average build, you can get away with cheap clothes because they'd look good on you.

I'm hitting my stride at 37.  I'm more confident than ever and i feel bitches and guys notice that judging by the looks i get.

bahaahahahah JEANS AND A DRESS SHIRT

also jeans and dress shoes  :o :o :o :o :o

these are two components of the worst look ever, and it's hilarious how many people don't understand this

Not really. It has to be done tastefully, though....have light wash denim, for example, and you'll look like an idiot

show me an example.  i don't think it can be done.

Yeah, it's a bad look more often than not.  A dress shirt looks sloppy untucked, and looks weird when tucked into jeans.

I'm more confident than ever and i feel bitches and guys notice that judging by the looks i get.
youre right on all counts.. thanks for being honest.   I agree when you have a decent build you can wear anything. However when I am in a board meeting I cant wear jeans and a v neck

Here are two guys who apparently know how to dress. Both find themselves on the best dressed lists for 2013 - 2014. Nick Grimshaw is #1 on GQ's 2014 best dressed list. Justin Timberlake repeatedly makes many of the best dressed lists.

you gotta admit that jeans with blazer look ridiculous :D

Well of course, fashion people know nothing about this subject, only you know better

Even David Gandy has nothing on our in-house fashion expert, socialite and playboy Anabolichalo

Depends on what you call a dress shirt.  There's plenty of button shirts made to be untucked that look great with jeans.  Any shoe pretty much goes nowadays too.

If you're strictly referring to the Gordon Gecko french cuff shirts, I get it.

This is what I sometimes do. Have some shirts made that are designed to be worn casually, and just wear those over jeans. Chinese collars, simple cuffs, tapered like hell looks good on me.

Should keep my weight stable though, because now they are all hanging there gathering moths... ::)

Agreed. I don't get it and won't partake in it but that doesn't make it less true.
