I suppose its what many of you do, a member joked off at a new member in my club who asked him for help. He told him, all I can tell you is to quit super sizing at mcdonalds, then laughed. The new member told me of this and I walked back to the workout area and told that member to wander on in to my office. I told him I heard what he did and he actually laughed and admitted it. Told him 'congratulations, you just earned 1 week suspension, get out. He told me if I did that he wanted out of his contract and i told him i'd rip the damn thing up as soon as he left and not to come back. He began back pedaling asking forgiveness, told him to get out, I didn't need assholes like him in my gym.
Question? what makes you guys better than someone who is just beginning? The guy he joked at is extremely successful in life, much more successful than Mr. Joker. Anyway, don't need shit heads like that in my gym, hes OUT!

Just the asswipes, lucky for me, i have very few of those in hear. I lay all this out to everyone that joins. It should not come as a suprise. Don't rack your weights? you get 2 warnings, 3rd time you are out for 3 days. And guess what? everyone racks their weights and everyone gets along in my gym. I don't need assholes that think they are arnold because they have trained for 1 year.

If you owned a gym , you would have about 20 members which is about the total of what i would call true bodybuilders that train at my gym. I have 1500 members, fat ones, skinny ones, middle of the road ones, they all WILL FEEL COMFORTABLE in my gym and not insulted.

Because I KNOW the guy that did this and its NOT the first time he has caused trouble in my gym, habitual NON-racker of his weights, almost has demanded that someone let him use the bench because he tired of waiting, hits on girls in the gym that are not there for his leach ass but to workout themselfs. Trust me, i'm well rid of this asswipe.

I still think you were wrong just suspending him, I would have told you to fuck off and spent my money on a really nice home gym. by the way, when i sign a new member one of the many things i tell them is 'we don't put up with any disrespecting another member, if someone asks for help and you are in middle of your workout, politely tell them you are busy training.

He was told when he joined we didn't put up with fighting in the gym, insulting other members and that doing so would draw a 3 day suspension. Sorry, i don't hold members hands, they are adults, he knew he was being an asshole, he got what he deserved.

Now myself, would never say something like that to hurt a persons feelings who is trying to get in shape. Now... iv been training my bro and encouraging him and had a young punk come over n try to be funny and go "come on" smiling....i sure as hell put him in his place and he doesnt even look at me anymore. Iv had a trainer come over and in the MIDDLE of me spotting my friend go "wow thats a great exercise you have to show me that". Damn right i embarrased him when the set was over and told him to never speak to me again in the middle of me spotting my partner who could have been hurt if i was distracted. Now.... say fatty started laughing and called the other guy "juicehead" or "musclehead".... would he also be suspended directly? oh i guess not cuz the in shape guy should be sure of himself and not worry about it RIGHT?

by the way, when i sign a new member one of the many things i tell them is 'we don't put up with any disrespecting another member, if someone asks for help and you are in middle of your workout, politely tell them you are busy training.

The new member told me of this and I walked back to the workout area and told that member to wander on in to my office. I told him I heard what he did and he actually laughed and admitted it. Told him 'congratulations, you just earned 1 week suspension, get out. He told me if I did that he wanted out of his contract and i told him i'd rip the damn thing up as soon as he left and not to come back. He began back pedaling asking forgiveness, told him to get out, I didn't need assholes like him in my gym.

YOu guys suck at math to 12*42*1500 is around 750k a year, so in a small buisness it wouldn't be a surprise to take home 200 off the gross that's only 30 percent, that's fuck all in small bussiness that's the difference between a competitor opening up with in the same year or just trying to establish a bussiness.

Don't rack your weights? you get 2 warnings, 3rd time you are out for 3 days. And guess what? everyone racks their weights and everyone gets along in my gym. I don't need assholes that think they are arnold because they have trained for 1 year.

I made a sign at my gym that said "Stop throwing your damn hangers on top of the sauna" because some douche who comes in before he goes to work throws his hangers from his suits on top on the sauna which is about 15 feet from a big trashcan in the locker room, we also find empty shampoo bottles and soap boxes all the time. You can't let the inmates run the Asylum. Some times you have to fire the client. It's fine if they keep it to themselves but making comments like that breeds negativity and that's a No No for any gym.
I've let a few members out of their contracts for various reasons and they seem to complain at first and then ask for their memberships back. You have to let them know that there are rules to be followed and shit like that will not be tolerated.

I think it is appalling and not something that can be condoned on a forum where bodybuilders post. Every one of us have started out as average or below average individuals and built our muscles up. Since we come from humble beginnings it is never acceptable to knock those who haven't built up their physiques.
I wonder why old age is considered something to laugh at by the flotsam here? If you are lucky you will one day be old and it is hardly something to laugh at.
When the stirrers exhaust all attempts at upsetting someone they post that they are pedophiles or fat or retarded or all of these things. Naturally, being gay is also disapproved of. What a sorry lot of individuals who need to resort to such name calling to make someone upset. I guess anyone who can survive the treatment here graduates to the special treatment of being called the worst names in the hope they will give up posting or meltdown.

If they leave these threads up what message does that give to the wannabes?
What is sad is that the issues about obesity, hunger and dieting are not at all simple or easy to reverse. Bodybuilders think obesity can be reverse engineered. Since it is not a problem for these guys they assume fat people lack willpower and are lazy to boot. There is a lot to learn about this subject, genetics and human behaviour. Knuckleheads assume they know it all but the truth is they don't even have a clue about how to get big muscles naturally.

A lot of guys are educated. I say guys because women don't hang around here because of the way they get treated. Not everyone here is nasty. Far from it. If they leave these threads up what message does that give to the wannabes?
What is sad is that the issues about obesity, hunger and dieting are not at all simple or easy to reverse. Bodybuilders think obesity can be reverse engineered. Since it is not a problem for these guys they assume fat people lack willpower and are lazy to boot. There is a lot to learn about this subject, genetics and human behaviour. Knuckleheads assume they know it all but the truth is they don't even have a clue about how to get big muscles naturally.

i am with you rooster. sure alot of people on here would like to be in a gym where you could do that one of those old dungeons that went under about 20 years ago. if you want to make any money you have to appeal to the propper demographic and thats the one wiht the money which is the middle age out of shape people and in order to appeal to those people you have to keep your gym very non intemidating otherwise the money leaves it buys its bowflex and treadmill adn it never comes back through the doors of yrou gym again. where as broke young loud aggressive guy can probabaly barly afford the membership fee let alone the weights he needs for a workout so he will always come back.
