I don't disagree what you said might work, but it won't change that table in a positive direction. Anyhow I really don't care, the thread is so one sided, basically tearing into people for trying, they might be mislead(means they need a leader), but they sure as hell have reasons to be upset, as do most american's.   the recession is complex and doesnt just stem from one thing. its multi faceted and rooted in ~50 years of misguided policy. yes liberals played a hand by encouraging home loans to low income individuals but they were doing so along with republicans and the banks were not forced to give out risky loans, they did so on their own accord. blaming the people in the government who pushed for home ownership only captures a fractio of the problem. you also have to take into account all the lenders who gave out the loans they knew were toxic because they wanted to make a quick buck. and you also have to blame all the borrowers who took loans they didnt have a way of paying for. and that is only the housing side of things. the unemployment, trade defecit, and debt all come from other things as well. years of bad foreign policy that helped facilitate the uprising of islamic terrorists whom sucked us into two wars that have costed trillions, an educational system thats flawed from the ground up by refusing to seperate kids based on ability providing no vocational training and preaching individualism and the college route for all, an economic policy that promoted outsourcing at a time when companies were already experiencing record profits, ect ect ect.   dont talk about the recession as if you can pin point a single cause.  the answer to our problems is a systemic change on a global level, that or extremely self serving protectionist policies and massive investment into vocational education, clean energy, and infrasturcture.

The United States isn't in crisis....there are jobs out there available...but here's my Top 10 problems

1.  The very wealthy want to become even more wealthy by any means
2.  People think that they are entitled to things for no reason
3.  Too many people want to get a handout without having to earn it
4.  Too many people take advantage of government benefits when they don't need it
5.  People don't take certain jobs because they feel its "beneath them"
6.  People go to college and put everything on credit cards and don't work for 4 years piling up enormous amounts of debts however don't realize that because they didn't do apprenticeships or work part time in the field that they can't get a job because they have no job experience
7.  Too many people try to keep up with the Joneses live well above their means
8.  Too many people never learned how to budget their money or invest it wisely
9.  Too many people blame others for their failures and never find fault with themselves

10.....biggest one.  People simply refuse to "struggle" to get somewhere in life and don't want to get their hands dirty.



When I started my business, I sold vitamins out of the trunk of my fucking car.  I went to school by day at ITT Tech and unloaded trucks at Fed EX by night.  I still drive an 11 year old car and 17 year old truck around, I buy my clothes and shoes from Walmart and TJ Maxx, I don't wear expensive jewelry, I don't have an 8000 gigwatt sound system,  I use a NetVista computer that I bought from a bankrupt company for 70 bucks to run my business, and I don't buy anything that I can't afford.

Now you are speaking to me. Would have been nice had I heard about this 4-5 years ago before I really got into the whole college thing. Now I am a few semesters away from a degree in cell/molecular biology, and not sure what that will do for me. I should really just bite the bullet and transfer to a nursing program....meh.
