Looks more like a taller Mo Farah.

pathetic
-
lebron looked the same way off of the HGH. They shrink very quickly.
Let me guess, he's doing "paleo"?

I think that a bunch of NBA pros will be retiring sooner than they had expected

no way the NBA would ever bounce lebron for a failed GH test. They'd lose, literally tens of millions of dollats.
when shit went sideways last season at that miami GH clinic, all of the HEAT players shrunk down right before teh playoffs. They were weak against san antonino as their friedges dried up. ALL of them shrunk down in the offseason, even scrubs. lost their GH.
Lebron "vacationed" in miami on Jan 1st of this year, and immediatley, I predicted he was back on the gas. 3 weeks later, he was punishing punk MFers on the court again. It's on the NBA thread here, i saw it a mile away.

Kobe looks like he caught HIV.
The bad kind, not the Magic kind where you put on weight.
-
You guys do know Kobe suffered a shoulder injury? (surgery done 10 months ago) and has NOT done any weight training/lifting since-- only conditioning.. Plus having an already fast metabolism.. After a month clearance of weight training this month->we will see drastic changes
-
He still has until october to bring up his lean muscle mass.. At least this time around, he didn't allow himself to pack on unnecessary fat like last post-season
-
Kobe is a skinny, lanky dude, always been that way.

This may actually be closer to the truth, we don't really have an idea when the photo was taken. I would also assume he's been cleared to do some sort of running/sprinting to keep his legs and conditioning.
All that said recent history shows when these guys retire they put on weight. NBA players are the most conditioned athletes among US professional sports.
All the conditioning keeps their metabolism up, if an individual already has a high metabolism in addition to the "cardio" they're doing putting on and maintaining muscle would seem almost impossible. (This is why I called BS on LeBron putting on size during the NBA season in Miami, when he would routinely ride his bike to and from the arena/ although that may have been pure hyperbole).
Being in the NBA I'm sure they have access to means that a regular person would never get, like the best training and recovery methods and nutrition.
Kobe simply may have lost weight from inactivity from the torn rotator cuff, but that alone isn't looking at the whole picture.

The Lakers GM said just the other day that Kobe isn't doing any upper body work yet. He wasn't even allowed to do any shooting.

How can a person who is like 6'6 put on fat when retired. I never understood that. Shaq is not skinny but very tall, how much food does he eat man? Must take monster dumps...

yeah, when you see shaq or barkley ballooning up... they must be eating 10,000 cal a day easily.
