She looks high maintenance. Can she put on sweats and be out of the door in 5 minutes for hiking or something, or is it a caluculated game of what hiking outfit she needs to wear for IG pics that day?

What about the argument that the little bit of extra rest also helps build muscle? That is when our body is actually building the muscle.
(Back when I actually trained) I used to do a 6 day split, with Sunday off. Basically following the beginner's program of the Arnold Encyclopedia for Modern Bodybuilding. It's a good split if you have the time and can tweak things for your own body. Following the split exactly took me about 2 hours per workout but I tweaked it in later years to be around an hour or so.
True, but without the training stimuli...If I get into a routine and have regular naps, work permitting, I recover faster which will ultimately mean more improvements.
Absolutely. When I was in my 20's training 6 days/wk, I got home from work, ate dinner, took a 45 min nap, then I went to the gym... strength/energy in the gym was always much better after the nap.

I'm 51, 5'9", 210lbs and I have a similar routine.Friday: Chest/BackSunday: Shoulders/ArmsTuesday: LegsThe days off in between are essential. During off days I do 1 hour of fasted morning cardio, except Wednesday because my legs are like jello.
