Title: Why are so many bodybuilder's sites domain expired?
Post by: larger_format on September 17, 2007, 01:42:08 PM
In this INTERNET age - surprising that many pro/amateur bodybuilders have problems keeping their websites operational - what's the most it can cost $400.00 a year ?

You're forgetting that there IS a small schmoe/muscle worshipper demo out there, which needs to be catered to.

Nasscar El Sombody is smart. He milks the internet for all it's worth:

domain registration is under $15 per year

hosting for low bandwidth sites is under $100 a year, sometimes much less than that

paying someone to update a site could be $30-50 an hour

You can always put up a web site, but you need to update it. PR and marketing is also important for any bodybuilder out there, pro or not, but sometimes, the expense of building, maintaining and updating a site just gets out of hand.

$6.99 monthly + get a developer from Russia or something for 1/2 the US price.  Some of the chicks just need to optimize their sites with correct keywords and tags, and they'll get the traffic.  As noted.... link to myspace like Dina and others.  That's dozens of free visitors monthly.   As far as male bbers...who cares?

Let's also not forget that most bb'ers aren't breaking even.
