I might have been able to complete the obstacle course but hard to say how fast when I was a lot lighter.
I was a reg marine in the 80's but no navy seal.
The stress stuff and cold/wet water based stuff would wash me out of that program.

i seen a doco on tv about the french foreign legion,, they had a jungle assault course...
french legion crack team held record
sas did it in a few hrs
navy seals did it in just under a day.............

I did the 3-month "Airborne Course" when I was 19, but now forget it... I could probably do the Airforce "Basic" course though LOL!!!!! ;D

Well sure, you have to want it and have to train for it. That's not what i meant.
What i meant is that for some Navy SEAL it actually makes sense to do this parcour, whereas for the average person there is no reward behind it except "i did the Navy SEAL obstacle course in under X minutes", and no one will even know what the fuck they are talking about.
Your reward will be something like this:
"Oh you did?? That's great for you, is 2 minutes a good time? See i have no clue how these things look like, but i bet you have trained hard for it. Might try it myself one day, cool story, bro."
I'd rather stay at home and watch TV instead of torturing myself to beat that course, but that's just me.

That's actually the easy thing... If you look at his foot positioning it keeps his center of gravity upright.
The sliding version that they do in Quantico is the one that looks the freakiest.

It's not like this course is all these guys train for. This is supplementary to what their real goals are. Notice the guy isn't exactly the picture of physical perfection? This is NOT the hardest thing these guys do. Not even by a long shot.
I'm pretty sure TONS of mid-top level CrossFit people could do this, not to mention any gymnast that is worth their salt. I can peg 4-5 people, not including myself, in my local gym that could go out and do that, and we would be excited to. It looks like a fitness hobbyist's playground to me. Any real athlete can knock this thing out in their first few tries, if not their first (meaning no errors).
I'm pretty honest about my fitness levels.
So I outed myself as a fitness enthusiast who is confident in himself. You outed yourself as a dude who likes to go to gyms and hang out around the smith machine. It's OK dude.
