RG4 has the ball at the 5 yard line...   4 downs to get it in the end zone.  Four shitty passes.

Seriously, remember when he was the scariest dude in the NFL for a spell, last year?   You're telling me he can't scramble for 5 yards at least ONCE in 4 downs, with the game on the line?

So disappointing.

Idk man, he doesn't have much around him and always puts up great #s. He does need to get to the playoffs and win though. I'd put him in the top of the 2nd tier, Behind the 1st tier of Brady, manning, breez,Rogers, and luck. One things for sure romos $$$$ on turkey day ;D

Hmmm u forgetting Dez Bryant and one of the most reliable and future hall of famer Jason Witten..

Before that terry Glenn and Patrick crayton were not all that bad. In 2007 11 pro bowlers with 13-3 record

It's their coaching, culture, organization , and structure from the top that's the problem

same with derrick rose before his big injury recently.  They get tired of dude getting all the hype, all the TV love, all the attention, and the backup would have them at 8-3 right now in the NFC LEAST.

Coach Shanahan is totally willing to let RG3 play til he falls into a major injury... then he can put in Cousins and look good again.  He's at risk of losing his job cause a non-ready RG3 is bullying his way into playing.

having extensively used amphetamines in the past.... I can confidently say that a couple dudes on adderall are not going to be the difference between a championship team and an 8-8 team.

its like taking an ECA stack.  It may give them a tiny bump in performance... but not enough to really accomplish anything major. Trying to say that adderral id a factor in a teams play is about as hilarious as saying that coffee is the difference between Rob dunking a basketball and missing the hoop completely.

I was really turned off by the way Richard Sherman came at Skip Bayliss of ESPN.   "I"m better at life than you".   "Im better than you."   "You're ignorant, cretin."

Would Sherman be this good without cheating with PEDs?   Yes, if you're a cornerback, Adderall is DEFINITELY going to help you excel at your position.   Such insane focus and ability to react to actions of a receiver.

If NE gets there it will be theirs Brady doesn't lose in the snow and cold, this year Super Bowl is outside that means NO is out, SF,sea,den...maybe, NE lock think Brady is over 90% in the cold HUGE factor. Look at tonight NO has one of best offense and defense and cold canceled out both

If you don't think every qb is on adderal you are sadly mistaken. To learn a opponents defense in 4 days and play mistake free shouldn't happen as much as it does. 10 years ago mccnab,Garcia, and favre were your pro bowlers in today's nfl they wouldn't make the team let alone start. Maybe favre but he threw as many pics as tds and I don't think anyone would argue ud take Rogers over favre

Title: Re: NFL
Post by: Shockwave on December 03, 2013, 05:11:31 AM
Wow rob, ive never seen you be such a petty hater.

Which one of your teams did we humiliate?

Sherman has a big mouth, but dude backs it up on the field. Like him or not, hes a steller player and exactly the kind of guy the hawks needed.... holmgren wanted those "classy, subdued" guys, and he built a mediocre team that lucked into the super bowl.

Pete wanted aggressive, young, physical players and hes built the best team in hawks history.

I hated sherman at first. ... but the dude backs up everything he says on field and he DEMANDS respect. Oh, and skip bayliss is a fucking turd and a cretin. He just said what everyone was thinking.

so keep talking shit about how rude of a person he is, or the hawks only are winning on the road, or about adderall... we will keep right on winning, and we will meet the other teams doing what it takes to win and not making excuses in the championship games.

meanwhile, youll still be making excuses why the Hawks arent REALLY good.

Lawl at t a talking smack about a guy playing in a violent contact sport for being a dick.

Wilson is highly impressive.  Coach gets it done.

I just don't want them to win the SB because I don't want to have to listen to Richard Sherman call people names while showing off a super bowl ring.  Dude is that trashy and classless.  There are only a few NFL players that I root against... Sherman is great at his position, but obnoxious to the point I can't watch him in interviews.  I loved watching Deion and many other loud players in their prime.  With Sherman, he can't have fun without doing it at someone else's expense.

Looks like I'll have to root for Carolina in the NFC.  Sure, Cam Newton can be silly with the superman antics... but he doesn't have to be classless and target others while doing so.

Carolina will face the Saints twice in the next weeks so it will be pretty clear if they're legit contenders or not. Their defense sure seems more apt than the Saints defense. I'd root for an AFC team I would't want to face the Seahawks in the SB, that team seems way too physical for the Patriots or the Broncos.

I think he benefitted greatly from being overlooked.

Kap, Luck, RG3 got all the hype.  He was a distant 4th last year.

He was learning to study this offseason.  Kap spent the time partying, we've seen the pics.  RG3 was too busy shoving his way back into the starting lineup early.  Colts were probably the best in AFC until injuries.

Even Andrew Luck at this point (although Luck will be a really good qb)

Wilson is playing out of his mind right now. RG3 and Kap still have questions.

What you saw last night was a soft team get punched in the mouth like a whore who tried to hide money from her pimp. And there wasn't a damn thing the Saints could or would do about it. They were ready to get the hell out of Seattle before that game even made it to halftime.

Wilson is a very poised, professional quarterback. I've never seem that guy flustered even once. He knows what he's doing out there and knows he can get the job done. He's CLEARLY ahead of Kap and RG3. RG3 doesn't even belong in the conversation honestly. He's a sideshow fraud and has been since he came into the league. I love watching Shannahan on the sidelines of Redskin's games. That look of disgust he has on his face. He can't wait to be fired and be done coaching that fraud.

Make no mistake about it though, Andrew Luck is the best young quarterback in the NFL. I still have no idea how he carried that Colts team to the playoffs last year and he's doing it again this year. He has zero running game and no Reggie Wayne and they still find a way to win.

Russell Wilson will prove himself to be the best QB taken in the draft and undoubtedly is going to be a stud in this league. his pocket awareness and ability to escape trouble with his athleticism is second to none. I'd say he way more mobile than rg3 but what makes him special is that he's not an option QB who can throw when he needs to, he's becoming a pocket passer first with the mobility of an option QB. the whole time he's scrambling he's always looking down field for the open man unlike the aforementioned who tuck and run and be can deliver strikes while moving at speed. a pure raw talent. he has a touch on the ball that rg3 and karpernick simply don't.

as for Richard Sherman he does his job of getting in your head. that's the job of an NFL cornerback. it's like mike Tyson used to say most of his fights were won before he even got in the ring. that's what makes him good. plus it give the team swagger. they place with a confidence due to that cockiness. as for Sherman the person he does a lot of work for underprivileged inner city youth so check that fucking bullshit abt how much of an asshole he is. when was the last time you did something for an underprivileged kid? speaks volumes of the mans true character. not what you 'see'

yep.  They had a way of doing it to entertain the fans.  Sherman's is almost exclusively based upon "I need to hear that I am better than Revis".   He can talk to fans about anything and it's "I'm better than Revis, right?"

You always know a person's TRUE nature for the 5 seconds after they are punched or smacked.  Voice going up 4 octaves with "He hit me, I didn't do nothing!"  lol...

I wouldnt sell Wilson short. He rarely takes big hits.  At NC State he got ko'd in his first start, I think, with a concussion.  I think he learned from it. He knows when to give up in a play and with Seattle rolling him out a lot, he creates angles to not get blown up.

whoever spikes home field advantage in the NFC will take that conference. that's how good those three teams - SF NO and SEA imo they are the ones to beat- play at home.

the AFC comes down to two teams imo DEN and NE. KC are paper tigers. but as history has aptly shown the real season starts in the playoffs and typically the hot hand and the healthiest teams usually get it done.

At some point you have to question whether Rivers is a true winner.  I can also understand why they wouldn't want to get rid of him either.

My boy Woodhead is balling for the Chargers though!

I think PR is an upper level QB, but is limited.  He needs playmakers around him and SD just keeps letting guys go.   I like Woodhead. He's a hardworker.  They need more like him.

Cannot argue with championships as a way to distinguish them, but they're both great.  Only thing I can fault Manning for is not getting it done in the playoffs.  Pretty poor playoff record.  But he has a ring, which is something a whole lot of QBs don't have.

nice round of playoffs so far , in my opinion the better teams advanced. the only complaint i have is the announcing jackasses. it's hard to listen to phil simms  he is the "gary mathews" of football announcing. others who annoy are bill mushmouth cowter, shannon gumflapper sharpe. and that jealous dan marino at the half time highlights he says that the interception was the only mistake peyton manning made. what was he watching ball was thrown right into receivers arms ball popped out of mister butterfingers hands and into the secondary defenders  and for this marino blames manning. ::) ::) ::)

As someone who had real trouble hitting a curve (me and Bo Jackson) and I can categorically say that football players are far superior athletes to baseball players.   :)

"trouble hitting a curve" is total b.s.

It really means that a batter can't hit a fastball unless he jumps out a mile ahead of it, thus making him vulnerable to breaking and/or off-speed pitches.

Not really.  I could hit a fast ball.  Had trouble with a curve.  Bo was the same way.  I was in great company.   :)
