What's on the "menu?"
I'm terrible when I go in that place. It's usually on the way home from work or the gym, and I typically make a b-line straight to the sections I always visit, with blinders on to everything else.

It's a small store.  It shouldn't take much time to check out all the isles.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I don't believe that all stores run the same specials, though. I've noticed differences between our regions before. I still haven't found that hazelnut spread, and I've looked in the peanut butter isle the last two times I went there. >:(

I also noticed this week they have 28oz cans of diced organic tomatoes for $1.69.  Good time to stock up for chili making season.  Also they have boxes of couscous.  I don't use the flavor packets that come in the box.  I make my own "dressing".  Oh, and they also have 4oz logs of goat cheese for @1.99 - good price.  Other stores put them on sale for $2.50.

Their wine is pretty sucky too.  I've heard their Corona knockoff isn't bad.

I think this might even be better than Nutella at half the price.

Bastards  >:(

 ;D

According to their flyer for next week, it looks like it's going to be a regular item everywhere.  Maybe they were test marketing in my area.

This week they have some good specials (meaning limited supply) to stock up for holiday entertaining like these pestos which will be great for hors d' oeuvres and roasted red peppers and Gouda rounds and infused olive oils.

also a sun-dried tomato one which will be great for bruschetta

These things are addicting  >:(

For some reason, pretzels are the only "junk food"/refined carb that doesn't bother me in one way or another (carb hangover, bloating, farting, lethergy, etc.)

They have BPA free water bottles right now for like four dollars.  They're really nice/well constructed.

I have yuppies in my family. I've acquired a tolerance.

Thankfully, none of the kids have turned hipster. But, just in case that day ever comes, I should prepare the belt talk.

The Aldi's near us carried roses for Valentine's Day. I just saw the dozen my Dad bought my Mom last night. They haven't begun to droop at all and look almost as healthy as they did more than a week prior!

He only paid 15 bucks, and said they've lasted longer than ones he's paid over $100 for in years past!! They just don't come with a vase or the baby's breath.

Their plants and flowers are always good.  I have these damn poinsettia plants that were only $3 bucks, but they still look good.  I can't bring myself to kill them.

Fresh asparagus(US grown) $1.49/lb.  I've had 3# already this week and it's awesome!  Very fresh.  Nicely packaged so it doesn't get all manhandled.
