That's called stupid beyond belief to let a 17 yr old who has virtually no driving experience have that car...it screams irresponsibility of the parents---and when he hits someone, then what?
We all have done stupid shit as a 17 yr old, but when a parent says go ahead, get the Ferrari, you have the money to do so, you are giving up your parental duties to ensure the child's safety and the public's safety...
We all know, we don't need another Porsche Girl incident ( even though she took the keys to her parents Porsche without permission, I'm talking about the accident itself)

All of the ex-F1 drivers, and possibly Indy Car drivers started in carts...as those are real tracks---or road racers.

Adam the difference being they had a wealth of driving experience before they turn pro , children of racers often start out in karting at 5-6 some times younger and have a natural progression of driving different types of cars year after year , there is absolutely NO comparison to throwing in a kid who just recently got his drivers license into one of the faster road cars made

On a race track though, not public roads. Granted you can go faster on a racetrack, but on public roads there is a far greater chance of you being in an accident that you didn't yourself cause. Lot of spastic drivers out there

But there is no guarantee that someone who is 40 who has been chauffeured around their entire lives has any more driving experience right now than 17 (almost 18) year old Justin Bieber.
