It started with an image seen at a WalMart that was supposedly quickly taken down.

The image shows what looks like an evil version of Yoda with bigger ears and carrying a red lightsaber.

Some belief this is Andy Serkis' character.

Remember, Supreme Leader Snoke is being done as a mo-cap (motion capture) CGI character.

Could it e true? Could Snoke be of Yoda's nearly extinct species?

Stupid idea if true.  Just saying the name "Snoke" makes me laugh.  I'm a huge fan, but I have a feeling this movie is going to be a Phantom Menace 2.

Supreme Leader Snoke is the top bad guy, Hulk.

He is being played as a CGI character by Andy Serkis, the actor who played Gollum, King Kong in the Peter Jackson remake, and Caesar in the Dawn and Rise of the Planet of the Apes films.

They haven’t revealed him yet. No leaked pictures, no presence in the trailers, poster… nothing.

There’s that rumor that he is of Yoda’s species, and there’s my feeling that they stuck him in the trailer behind Kylo Ren and nobody really noticed. (See pictures)
