Apparently those Akido dudes use certain areas of the body for strikes and extremely muscled people make finding those spots even easier.

well not so much in aikido....seagal does use a lot of striking in his aikido but in japanese budo in general and other arts .... a lean muscular would be quite an easy target for muscle and nerve strikes.....inside of arms and legs etc
bujinkan budo is more focused on muscle/nerve strikes than aikido...
