That's the truth. I saw Zane guess pose at a show and met him in the street after the show ended. He couldn't have weighed over 180lb at around 5'9".  No one would guess he was a bodybuilder.

On an old game show I think it was "What's my line" had Zane on it. The celebrities had to guess what he was famous for. No one knew he was a "muscle man".  At the end he took off his shirt and everyone was amazed.
What is the point of lifting heavy all the time and eating 6 times per day just to look "below average" with a shirt on? How often can an adult male realistically go shirtless in the public eye? Unless you work as a lifeguard you will be covered up. Now a big well built lifter is going to have that v-taper, those thick pecs and shoulders, big arms, powerful thighs and buttocks that clothes can't obscure. That is the man who commands respect from men and inspires lust in women.

So you have your answer but you want GB to agree with you?

The point here is to present different views and takes on these ideas.

If you are built you will look good in street clothes.  If you're 5'7" 260lbs GH, insulin bodybuilder you will look like a fat guy waddling down the street.

As long as your mile and a half run time is under 10 minutes, you're fine.

Probably

What bodybuilder can run under 10 minutes for a VO2 test? Certainly not one Mr. Olympia contender. Last time I was tested in the mile and a half decades ago I ran 8:39. I know in my younger years I could have gone faster. I've always been a sprinter and not a distance guy.

Why not add slam dunks and figure skating?

This is BODYBUILDING AND POWERLIFTING. We're talking muscle, physique, 3 lift totals here.

That's the whole thing. Bodybuilding use to be about strength and health. Reeves use to run a mile in 5 minutes according to him and that's incredibly fast for a guy his size. Olympic lifters have great vertical leaps and when tested in sprinting sometime around the 1968 Olympics they were found to be really fast athletes. What power lifter can dunk or sprint? Very few. That's the whole thing with today's drug scene. They are not healthy or athletic.  Remember ABC's Super star competition?  Big Lou did amazing in the preliminary.  In bowling, baseball hitting, half mile run, boat rowing, power jerk, and other activities he beat or hung with the best athletes of the day. In the final he had a really off day. Mike Mentzer on the other hand did terrible. I remember Mike in the 100 yard dash. Incredibly slow.

This thread is about whether it is better to look normal in a shirt and incredibly ripped when removing it versus looking jacked in a shirt, the material straining to contain powerful muscles. It is not about aerobics, 50 yard dash, marathons, ballet, or anything else. Let's keep it focused.

Remember how everybody was so impressed with Brad Pitt in
"Fight Club"? The girl I took to the movie said that he had a perfect body.
Looking fit and in shape beats big muscles every time when it comes to normal people and not gym rats with a skewed view of what people should look like. Abs over biceps wins every time.

What about vascularity?  Do you find that your ultra vascularity helps or hurts with chicks?
