Yea, HUMBLE, those 'gatherings' are a big money maker here in Vegas and it's best for any visitor who is not attending one of those 'convention' to get  or stay out of town because the hotel room rates are doubled, tripled, or guad-drupled while those conventioneers are here in town.

And the 4 day Olympia event will also see higher prices for all concerned.

The Las Vegas Convention Center which will not be used by the Oly event this year was just enlarged and there seems to be enough space in there to acomodate the entire state of California when those people decide to move here enmass which appears to be happening already.

BTW .... Two new things are underway here in town that some GetBiggers may find to be  of interest.

Check the following out on the net ...

The MSG Sphere .... I still have no idea what event will be held inside here but the exterior itself should turn out to be a major LV attraction.

35 miles worth of Underground tunnels.

And one more elaborate sports stadium.

At one time there was talk about an artificial ski resort on the Strip similar to the one someplace in the Orient but that was scrapped in favor of some Titanic  idea.

Sorry ... A bit off track, but I would hate to see any GetBigger arrive in this desert town without some idea of what it's all about and the simple fact that 'we' do intend to get all your money one way or another.

Probably cheaper to stay in a hotel off the strip. The next time I go to Nevada it will probably be Reno.

HUMBLE, The best LV hotel deal that I am aware of is the two-night mid-week deal which Ellis Island occasionally offers

Total Price includes room for 2 nights , tax, resort fee, etc.=  $125.00 US funds.

You also receive:

50 free play on the slots. I use this $50 on a couple of slot machines that seem to ALWAYS pay well on my behalf .... One of the 5 the original Buffalo machines and one of the 2 Kitty Glitter machines.

$25 meal coupon. Covers one of the best BBQ Baby Back Rib joints in Nv/Cal with a huge beer to get it down.

Check the Ellis Island, Nv. website  but I have no idea in advance when it's available.

If you enjoy Blackjack or Craps, this is the only casino near the Strip that gives you a decent chance to leave a winner..... loose machines, 3 to 2 BJ pays, and $5 minimum bets.

Better than any other casino in town except for the Southpoint.

On a side note, what does the IFBB do if a male competitor decides he's a she and enters the women's competition? Have they made a decision on that yet?

HUMBLE, Your He/She question is a good one and most likely could only become a problem if the HE or the SHE was refused entry as a contender in an event and decided to get a lawyer.

Now-a-days it seems that this should be a question which any sanctioning body and/or event promoter should be considering.

In fact the above is bound to turn into a lawsuit within one if the major sports federations ..... if it hasn't happened already.

And I are dumb when it come to any knowledge regarding this subject, so maybe one if the various sports fans on this board may be able to offer an intelligent answer about the current state of affairs.

Has the U.S. Supreme court even  been involved yet?

And if anyone were to ask for my advice if and when this He/She situation  arose .... I'd say, "Don't do a damn thing ..... Until a court (most likely  Supreme Court) makes a decision before you do.

Until then it could be  the old "Damed if you do! Damed if you don't!" situation .

Best bet would be to simply organize and sanction a separate event such as the  Mr./ Ms. Transgender Olympia!

Now that's an angle I hadn't considered!  I suppose if that person could convince the IFBB and judges that they had essentially chemically castrated themselves to the point where their testes were totally atrophied, they might be in with a shout...  And if they were good looking, with smooth skin and purdy hair, they'd be a double threat...🤔

Everybody (men and women) in the IFBB are chemically enhanced so I don't see how you could use that as a criterion.

Interesting topic which should have a 'space' of its own as it's bound to happen soon.

Or possibly is happening as we speak.

The NPC Bodybuilding Nationals will be held here in Vegas in Bally's Hotel/Casino on 29 & 30 July.

I have yet to see any local ads but I am sure it will draw a big crowd.

Prejudging ticket prices: $75 - $100.

I don't know the finals prices and I don't believe that there will be any type of expo unless there will be small exhibitor displays set up within the venue.

Now that you have read the above ...  ignor the above and I will see if anyone has already posted this topic someplace else on this board.

If not, I will set it up.

Jonny Bravo podcast today says that the Olympia COULD be cancelled due to the current NPC/IFBB situation.

He says that a cancellation could  be possible because Planet Hollywood may not want to be associated with the current NPC/IFBB situation.

In my opinion any cancellation by any party  is highly unlikely.

And this adverse situation could prove to be an advantage for all concerned.

Don't change your plans if you are coming to the Olympia unless Ron makes bad news official

What - the 'current' situation? The sites that were shut down 8 or so years ago, all that had legal agreements?  No one is cancelling anything.  See you at the Olympia

Please invite Hankins. He needs some male bonding time (no homo)
