Title: olympia expo
Post by: nychotbod on September 26, 2009, 12:30:45 AM
No muscletech, they use to give some nice stuff.
And seems like every company is stingy this year.
Not the same as before. A lot of companies want you
To earn what u get, this year. (Gotta compete in something, or
Take your shirt off, whatever......)  stupid bullshit!

Did you by any chance see a 51yr old bald cage fighter, tailgating in the parking lot.......... making trips in and out to a blue van unloading all his free supps, while downing a rollin rock on the walk back?

With the economy the way it is, companies aren't going to cater to supplement hoarding cheapskates like you.  The point of sampling products it to make an impact with the consumer....not to get lost in a bag full of shit from your competitors.

So which company do you work for smartass. Bsn, gaspari, ...? Btw, I don't take the crap they hand out anyway, just what I was noticing.

Who wants supplement samples that don't work anyway. I can't stand people who go to events like this for freebies, they are the same people who shop at Walmart!

None of them.  I'm using common sense.  We're in the worst economic climate since the great depression and your bitching that supplement companies aren't tossing out tens of thousands of dollars in free product(s) to a bunch of cheapskates walking around with shopping bags to fill.

Muscletech is out because of the hydroxycut problems.

Tailgating @ the Olympia?  There's a concept.  I can see LiftStudios rolling up in his Phil Heath-decaled truck towing a full-size smoker BBQ grill, flying Phil Heath flags, pitching a Phil Heath tent, and trading dirty looks across the lot with a small group of Jay Cutler fans huddled around their beer cooler.

If there weren't competitions held at the expo, like the women's judging and the 202 show, the attendance would be aweful.  The supplement company booths just get in the way.

Not precisely correct, MB.

The events on stage were less than 3/4 (sometimes even 2/3) full while the aisles were jam packed with booth space visitors. But I have to admit that there was a decent sized standing crowd,

If you disagree, it might have been because you were there during some rare 'lull periods'.

Anyone got the paid visitor count for the two-day expo? I wonder if that count is available on line?

The expo was well attended, especially on Saturday.  You have to remember that the seating area for the events is for VIP tickets only, so anyone else who wants to watch the women's judging or 202 shows has to stand behind that seating area for 2-3 hours, sometimes 5 or 6 rows deep.  If the seating arrangements were better, fewer people who be wandering the aisles.
