VPX Sports Sues BOSS!

On April 4, 2008 VPX (Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc.) sued sports supplement distributor BOSS in Broward County Circuit Court for failure to pay an outstanding balance of $579,000.00.  

Bob O'Leary Health Food Distributor Co. ("BOSS") is a wholly owned subsidiary of GeoPharma, Inc., a publicly traded company. BOSS operates as a distributor of nutritional supplements including VPX, the manufacturer of the top selling REDLINE energy drink and other popular nutritional supplements. After numerous unreturned phone calls by VPX to Purchasing Supervisor, Joe Mies and BOSS' accounting department in an attempt to collect an outstanding balance of $586,423.00 past due monies, BOSS insulted VPX with a $7,149 check resulting in VPX's stance to take vigorous legal action to collect this massive outstanding debt.

$579K is so serious inventory fronting........somethig n tells me there is more to this story than what has been said so far...

500 grand is like half a years' sales for BOSS these days

Jack at VPX is a fool for letting an account get that out of hand. Deserves the loss!

No, hes on the money.  The company that i used to work for was owed close to a mil by GNC....and iv seen 500k in debt a BUNCH of times....

Not over 30-40 days......Boss has been getting their ass kicked by Europa and there's no way they're distributing that amount of product over that time period

Remember BOSS was VPX's largest distributor until Europa picked them up in FEB. So I am sure they could of done those kinda numbers. VPX seems smarter then that.
