You were impressed with that? What a poor performance. No hardness or a hint of a rugged, grainy look. Muscle qaulity poor - just inflated with water. On top of that, Mr Olympia should not be posing to that weak assed R n B shit but rather be making a statment with bold, powerful music. It also sounded like he was posing to an audience of about 50. I am speechless as to how uninspiring that whole perfromance was.

how many shmucks outthere in the pro ranks can look like Ronnie at 42yrs old. forget everything else about his physique. Nobody, will still be competing when they reach their forties, unless they do the masters, which a lot of 30 something are planning on doing. Ronnie is blessed when it comes to aging. Remember, most previous Mr olympias were on their way to retirement in their mid to late thirties, Ronnie become the energizer Bunny. If He wins his 9th Olympia, I will bow down to him as the GREATEST MR OLYMPIA OF ALL AGES

Hulksker, Ronnie was striving to surpass this physique presented by Yates in 1995......yout idol was attempting to be as good as Yates.....Yates decided to retire.....Ronnie himself gives Dorian props.......so please stop already

don't know why this shot get tossed around alot. It has impressive calves, but everything else is lacking in detail and shape immensely.

the thing is, I actually like dorian's pre-tear physique (that mm is post tear).
In 1993 he looked good except when standing relaxed.
I only harp on his flaws when compared to Ronnie because Ronnie would exploit these flaws
His phyique is not as bad as I might make him out to be, I give credit when credit is due. I wish I could same the same about the ronnie comments by ND, SMA and Co.
Pretty much everyone involved in the monster 170+ page thread is guilty of exaggerating the flaws of either Dorian or ronnie.

Guys, are you going for round two? Jeez, let it die. Dorian has his supporters and Ronnie has his. Neither camp is going to change the others opinion. ND can't stand Ronnie. Hulkster can't stand Dorian. For the most part, I agree with Hulkster, but come on. Who the hell cares. Don't let this thread degenerate into this nonsense again. It is tiresome and overdone. It is repeating the same shihite over and over again. Hulkster, Ronnie kicks ass in that video. Dorian wishes he had that shape. However, to some, Ronnie is not the epitome of hardness and "graininess." In the end, who the hell cares but us obviously. Maybe we all should move on. :-\

FWIW, Yates' conditioning was impressive-like all the top guys he's a lot more striking on video or in person than in pics. On the other hand, he also bordered on ugly & lacked some degree of aesthetics, which is why he was an easy target in shots like the MM. Moving right along..
