Married women with 2 last lames.

Freakin lame.  Interested to think what Getbiggers think about this.

If my wife wanted to keep her last name, I probably would not have married her.

There are some deep problems there.  Like lack of confidence you're marriage will work?

Embarassment of you're husbands last name?
Most are all show no go!

Yeah I hate that shit. Before I forced my wife to marry me I made it very clear that this woman's lib type mentality will only get her liberated to a hospital.
So far everything is good.

A lot of it has to do with a woman who has established a career under her original name prior to marriage.  Since the original name has value and recognition, she wants to hold onto it.  In most cases it's a practical decision, not a political one.

Now, if your wife-to-be works as a store clerk or a waitress and insists on keeping her name, then yeah, I'd say there's an issue.

What if she's an only child? Does she get a pass then?

My Grandma had 3 daughters one which kept her last name when she was married.  Grandma didn't approve.  When I got married Grandma asked if I was going to take my hub's name.  I said yes.  She said "Good, because if you didn't he'd be right to tell you to shove it!"

Well............

I have some thoughts on this.  For one....a woman splitting the last name of her husband or adding a hyphen to the husbands name is a nit wit IMO.

But, I find it totally acceptable if she makes her maiden name into her new middle name.  Reason why I say this is because for the last 2-3 months, I've been doing alot of genealogy research for my family.  For one, I find it an old tradition thats been long forgotten or alot of people don't do it any longer.  Also, it really makes it easy for researching ancestry on the wife's side of the family.

I never thought of that, but that makes sense as well as for career reasons.  Really, as long as there's a practical, common-sense reason behind it, I see no problem with it.  But if it's just to make some stupid feminist political statement, then it's total bullshit and shouldn't be.

Yeah, career reasons are the #1 reason. Some actresses don't even add their husband last name of their stage names. But, that would be funny. ;D

The women's libers that do it are pathetic.

Watching this democratic party nomination process weigh out has been pretty funny.  You can find out a lot about people sometimes.  You can tell which black women are more proud of being women than black when you see people like Tanya Acker on Fox and CNN backing Hillary as a black woman.  You can also tell which long-standing democrats are just flat out racist as many seem to be backing Hillary still only because she's...well...white.

If I am addressing a woman whose name happens to be:

Sally Johnson-Baker...

I say, "Hello, Ms. Baker..."

I will not say:

"Hello, Ms. Johnson-Baker..."

It just sounds stupid.
