Looks Like the WWE finally has a good young heel
« on: August 22, 2010, 09:36:39 PM »
Just watched the debut of "Alberto Del Rio" on WWE.com.  I was thinking he was gonna be another Kizarny but he seems to have it all: look, gimmick, mic skills, and in ring ability.

Look for this guy to be holding a strap soon.

They are expecting him to be the next Ray Mysterio. To appeal to the latino crowds so to speak. WWE officials are saying that Ray is one knee injury away from retirement. Alberto Delrio is good on the stick and he knows how to wrestle. He'll make a great heel. I would pair him off with a manager / escort for more heat.

Didn't they have a similar guy a while ago, Escobar or something like that?  They put Vicki Guerrero with him, but I don't know what happened to him.

Best young talent right now is The Miz.  I know a lot of people can't stand the guy, but his bit on the mic at Summerslam was one of the best I've seen in a long time.  His ring work has improved, he's always been able to talk, and he's getting some of the biggest crowd reactions in the whole company right now.

J.R. predicts that bigger & better things are in his future - and no, it didn't seem like his usual "smoke-blowing" that he was so famous for on his "Ross Report" years ago.

Caras  is a million times more skilled IMO, you really can't compare him to Escobar. I hated those vignettes tho, they were too like Razor Ramon. The guy has charisma and already is probably the number 2 or 3 heel on SD after Punk and Kane.

He's on his way to being #1.

Kane has been around forever and his current feud with Taker falls into the catagory of "Been there. Done that." Is there anyone who suspends belief to the point where they believe that Kane is Taker's brother, and that Taker was in a vegetative state?

And, while CM Punk works hard at his gimmick, it has a fundamental flaw. It's based on what he doesn't do: drink, smoke or do drugs. You can't show someone NOT doing those things.

Caras' gimmick is new, fresh, and he pulls it off beautifully.
