There is a common misconception that dictatorships lie to the people. They don't. Only democracies do that. In a dictatorship, there is no need to lie, ...you can let the people know exactly what you're doing, ...cause there's nothing they can do about it.

It is Western style democracies that lie to their people. They can't let the public know what they're really doing, ...because the public will demand they put an end to nefarious activities. That's why there is so much mis-information, lies, censorship, and outright propaganda in a democracy, ...in order to manipulate public opinion into blindly supporting secret agendas that are not often revealed to them

ive never gotten a good answer to this question. why do libs start crying when you mention 2000 volunteer soldiers killed in a nobel cause, but 1.3 million babies are aborted a year with no problem. which ones worse? so if you dont support the war thats fine,but how is it possible that you feel that a soldier cant be killed but babie can?

Of course they do, but the lies spewed out by the United States government is on par with those above mentioned dictators.

What's even worse is that deep down inside you probably know the current administration is way out of line, yet you'll still defend them and try and turn everything into a liberal v. conservative issue, and then claim that you're right. This is despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, as well domestic and international protest.

You never made the distinction that the soldiers were noble you said a "noble cause" which clearly suggests you were talking about the war itself and not the nobility of the soldiers.

Also, you said Kenny Rogers was throwing 94 and I told you the only way that was possible was if the radar gun was tweaked, I don't remember you saying anything about pinetar. And didn't you say that you weren't a Yankee fan in that thread? Your avatar over at MD is a Yankee logo, that's curious. I was speaking about day-to-day MOs of dictatorships in general (not any one dictator in particular) vs. day-to-day MO's in a western democracy ...however, I would enjoy hearing you elaborate further on lies these particular heads of state you name said.

The rising interest rates are the "fault" of the chair of the federal reserve, who thought it was a good idea.  Cannot really fault him.  Greenspan did a good job.  Not sure how the new guy will fare.  I'm not sure who to blame for the rising national debt.  If all of the budget bills were party line votes, I'd say the Republicans take most of the blame.  I doubt that's the case.

Didn't those 500 stale duds passed of as WMD's by the Limbaugh groupies all say "Made in the USA"?
Even though the USA manufactured those WMD's, I hardly think that could classify as having manufactured WMD's thereby making America a dictatorship. oh no... if America was a dictatorship, her leader would repeatedly do things and engage in conduct that would be considered very Un-American based upon standards set by the US Constitution, and anyone who opposed could be taken off in the dead of night, held indefinitely, without trial, without charge, without the protection of habeus corpus... um, wait a minute... nevermind.

I'm not sure who to blame for the rising national debt.  If all of the budget bills were party line votes, I'd say the Republicans take most of the blame.  I doubt that's the case. 

         Do you have any idea how much the war is costing, or who is paying for it,
...and who is going to continue to be paying for it? I know you don't have grandchildren or great grandchildren yet, ...so you'll just have to substitute with your own kids, ...but can you look them in the eyes and tell them why you so happily support encumbering them and their offspring for generations to come with monumental debtloads?
