I may splurge seeing as it is a holiday and have some sugar free jello as a desert. The extra carbs should give me some crazy vascularity. I was going to play in the annual football game, but in mass gaining mode right now and can't become catabolic.

Not that I date models or anything....but the back fat just doesnt do it for me.   :-X

Anyways.....some awesome ideas here.  mass04.....you could play in the game, but use the cranberry sauce as a post game carb-loading tool.  In addition, I am sure that you could mix some protein powder up with the mashed potatoes.  That would serve as a nice PWO meal.

I've already layed out my outfit, i'm so excited. I have my work boots and sunglasses as well as my fanny pack filled with protein bars, and lumberjack shirt. I'm torn between daisy dukes and my American flag baggy pants. The cutoffs will show the table my titanic quads and christmas hams, but the weather up here is pretty cold. Mom makes me take my beanie off at the table though.

The key is to dress properly for the occasion.  Zubaz pants, tank top, American flag headband, lifting belt and red Otomix boots.  Carry some extra protein bars in your fanny pack.

yes, those are excellent choices as well. After dinner, i'm planning on putting on the 1993 Mr. Olympia and re-enacting some of the posing routines in the living room and have every score me using magna doodles.

No, I prefer the 1994 BFTO before I head to the table.  Where-in I will engage the family in discussions of nutrient timing and its effects on proper glycogen loading.  Perhaps grandpa can tell us all about the old days of the iron game.

What in particular will you be using as your cheat food?  The sugarfree jello with the real whipped cream? low sugar cranberry sauce?  low-fat pumpkin pie?

I plan on making sure the stuffing is made with whole wheat bread crumbs and that the skin of the turkey be removed PRIOR to baking.

6oz of turkey,3 kernels of corn,1 tablespoon of cranburry sauce,1 potato, broiled no butter or gravy, salad with low fat dressing.

1/4 piece of apple pie with no crust and 1 tablespoon of low fat vanilla ice cream.

followed by 1-1/2 hours of cardio.

Bump the cardio to 1hr in the morning and 1hr at night and you should be able to get by with 1/4C corn with spray butter and 2 1/2tbl of ice cream.  If its your off season you could also get by with the crust on the apple pie...PROVIDED you took some thermos that day.  Not the wisest thing on a cheat day...but hey, its the holidays.

I will not bring pre-cooked food in tupperware.

My only concern is this....every year thanksgiving dinner is supposed to be at 4pm....but it always turns into 5:30 pm....and I starve

So Im bringing steaks to grill outside this time. I will cook 6oz of whole wheat pasta in the microwave too. (I'll do this around 3pm or so). This way I dont starve while I watch football and wait for dinner

For thanksgiving dinner I'll have an abundance of turkey with lots of sweet potatoes and carrots

Then I'll watch more football.

Around 7 or so I'll get another large plate of turkey and a sweet potato

Careful with the insulin spike that will occur with such an anabolic combination of carrots and sweet potato.  If I were you I would consider spreading it out over 2 - 3 meals.  This will help alleviate any chance of spill over.  Also, time your water intake (preferably distilled) with the meals.  Sip water...only as needed.  Remember to keep your abs tight at all times.

Royalty, though there is some debate I would suggest installing a curtain the living room.  You can have your aunt, niece, etc... be "part of the show" by applying the tan and any touch up you might need before you go out and "give it 100%".  Installing some proper lighting is important, you don't want to look washed out in your own living room!  Be sure you hire a dj to do a proper mix of your posing music to cue up just as grandma is serving hour douves.  Enjoy!

mass04 may have a better idea than I do on this one as he really seems uber hardcore.....but I would start tomorrow night.  Maybe 1 - 2 coats....then utilizing the same conversion as you do with the turkey, I would apply one coat per 100lbs of bodyweight every hour.  BE SURE to pose in between applications.

This year I am planning on using some ammonia sticks before my 3rd and 4th helpings as well.  Was reading a truly hardcore article and this one guy who's friend could have been Mr. Olympia used it prior eating EIGHT full plates of food.  Wise advice if you ask me.

You hit it on the head....the lighting IS important.  Imagine all this time you have prepped for the big day...only to have someone screw it up with poor lighting.  Has happened to me many times.  Here's a question for the ages....when (in the meal) do you hit the most muscular pose?

I think right after saying grace.  It kinda sets the tone for the whole meal.  Are you a proponent of having a pre-judging in the morning (only for the local NPC judge you invited over) and then having the nightshow in the afternoon just before the meal?

Wow! In that case I'd up my cardio to three 45 minute sessions a day, supplement with 28 gm of fish oil post-workout and avoid brushing my teeth for 12 days. Can't be too careful.

I think right after saying grace.  It kinda sets the tone for the whole meal.  Are you a proponent of having a pre-judging in the morning (only for the local NPC judge you invited over) and then having the nightshow in the afternoon just before the meal?

Ok..one step further....do you punctuate the 'amen' with the crab or do you wait till after?  Well, being that judging never starts on time (which amazingly enough dinner never starts on time) we could probably go with prejudging in the morning after our first cardio session.  Then have our meal, go back to our room...reflect on how prejudging went....come back....down some pie and do the night show.

Royalty....I am doing the same.  I am depleting my carbs through thursday morning.  Here's a tip I learned from an old pro....after my cardio on thursday I will do a light pump workout followed by (wait for it).......some NO Explode.  You see with depleting carbs....then a depletion workout....my muscles will be HUNGRY for glycogen.  Then the NO product will increase my vascularity allowing me to fill out without spilling over.  I will allow myself about .65oz (NO MORE THAN THAT) of red wine before hand to FURTHER increase vascularity.

Would it be ok to replace the fish oil with flaxseed?

Not if you havent used it during the prep.  Keep it to foods you know.  Could throw you off completly.  If you are using some MuscleTech Anator p-70 you MAY be able to get away with it.

Sound risky. Im going to "test" your NO explode theory before I drive to church tonight (good lighting there). If I show any signs of losing my thin skin appearance, my guru (who hasnt left my side in days) will let me know. Hopefully I will have time to correct the "situation" before Thursday.

Thanksgiving in Canada was second week of october. Thanksgiving isn't a big deal here and I don't like turkey, so I probably just had chicken or steak with some potatoes.

Exactly, I can't stand it when Thanksgiving does not coincide with a carb up day, screws everything up. Last year I could not eat any pies....I had to wait till next week to carb up... pop tarts and apple sauce.

I could speak at length on this subject. I store food when carrying in it in a biodegradeable cardboard/wood hybrid...the organic nature of this material promtes healthy bacteria and keeps the gut  healthy thus able to absorb and digest more mood but more good food efficiently.

SWEET!!!!  Do you partition the food or do you let the turkey touch the potatoes?  I have heard conflicting stories about this.

Royalty - to counteract cortisol take 40gm of glutamine mix with 1 1/2tbl baking soda and 2.3oz of poweraid.  Set your alarm to wake you up NO MORE THAN 3.2 hours after you go to sleep.  This will insure that you hit enough of REM sleep to enhance glutamine's effect on GH output.

I probably get around 6K cal/day anyways.

By "a lot" I specifically mean eating turkey, prime rib and whatever else they have until almost passing out and using red wine to fill any space not taken up by food. Will still have normal breakfast, lunch and protein shake before bed.

Forget about gay shit like crystal light or watered down beer.

You take the $12 trophy, I'll enjoy dinner. :)

Someone who spends 5-6 hours/week working out probably isn't going to be harmed by one or two extra meals in a day. I'm not restricting calories for any specific reason and have a pretty clean diet which doesn't include junk food like McDonalds, pastries, soda and so on.

thankgivin comes around once a year so eat to your hearts content,if your diets on point and your not getting fat in the winter that one day will do no damage whatsover except for alittle sodium bloat for 2 or 3 days, unless you have a show within the next 90 days pig out everyone,im sure your family or wherever your spending your thanksgiving is working hard preparing all that food and to show up with tuna and stuff in tupperware is kinda rude imho.enjoy yourselves and give thanks to god

Good news!  I talked a couple of other friends/family members into doing a comparison round just before the main course.  Last year grandpa took me on the rear lat spread, but I think I got him on front double bi.  I think if I stay focused and keep my carb loading on point today and tomorrow, I can take 2nd place.  It's all about the trophy, my friends, all about the trophy...

Think about it... the number one reason men stop taking medication is erectile dysfunction. Most guys would rather risk a heart attack or heart failure than have a limp dick yet some wannabes are doing it on purpose. :)

My workout bros extended me an invite to have a meal in the gym parking lot. Of course the gym is closed, the owner seems to think that shutting down the gym and keeping me from the thing i'm most thankful for is ok. The "regular" people just don't get why i'm doing this, every bite of a chicken breast brings me that much closer to immortality.

Actually, it is best to distinguish between vegetarian and vegan.

Vegetarian - chooses to avoid consuming animal flesh and by-products

Vegan - not satisfied to choose to avoid consuming animal flesh and by-products, but also wants to make this choice FOR YOU because he or she is smarter and more compassionate than you could ever hope to be

Vegetarians can be straight; vegans generally have pillows that are riddled with teeth marks.

I will allow myself about .65oz (NO MORE THAN THAT) of red wine before hand to FURTHER increase vascularity.

 ;D ;D ;D

I don't get enough food at Thanksgiving, thats how fast my metabolism is. I eat a thanksgiving sized meal for every meal in a normal day and still don't gain weight.

I have it all mapped out already. Because I will likely be at my in-laws' place for over eight hours, I will be taking two meals of my own.
Meal 1: 6 oz organic, free-range, grass-fed chicken, 1.5 cups white rice, 1 tbspn red palm oil
Meal 2: 6 oz organic, free-range, grass-fed ostrich, 10 oz Japanese yams, 12 almonds
Meal 3 (prepared by in-laws, especially for me): large salad with olive oil and vinegar, 6 oz organic, free-range, grass-fed turkey (no gravy), 10 oz sweet potatoes (plain),
All meals followed up with digestive enzymes.

A full-body, circuit-type workout will be done in the morning so that all the calories go straight to muscle. I do not want any spillover that will blur the appearance of my vascular, beefy forearms. I want everyone to know who they are dealing with and to dare not ask me if I want dessert or why I can't "live a little". Only suckers think Thanksgiving is a day to pig out.

The diet strategy was inspired by the top gurus of the day. All the omega-3 richness I consume will counteract the chemical onslaught brought upon my organs by grams of gear per week. During my last cruises, in which I used doses of 500 to 1000 mg per week a TRT dose, my lipid values were the best they have ever been, and I made it my business to announce this to the world on various forums and FB, just to show how healthy I've been.

Just got back from a relatives house where me and my girl had Thanksgiving dinner. Figured I better bring a treadmill for me and the misses just in case there wasn't one at their house. Glad I did. We set these two treadmills up in their backyard and each did an hour of cardio while everyone was having dessert.

What happened to men?  On Thanksgiving or Christmas you eat till your hearts content. You make it a challenge to eat as much as you can.  Grab a beer and see how many calories you can eat today.  What kind of sissy brings tupperware food to a feast?  Turn in your man card and join the lady men posing in thongs to music while men cheer and dance to the posing music.

Yeah I remember this thread.....
This shouldn't even be an issue. Many of the normal Thanksgiving dishes, can make for a damn good meal, if you are a bodybuilder.

He'll, it wouldn't even need to be considered a cheat meal, unless you gorge yourself unnecessarily. Even then, it's one meal and you would shit most of it out anyway.

What you really have to ask yourself, is why are you so addicted to bodybuilding/fitness, that you think ONE meal will ruin everything?

You can get great results by following a meal plan 75%, with a full cheat day included.

Really though, I stay home w/ the dog. Wife and Kids go to the Inlaws and then bring me back tons of leftovers.

I see everyone (wife/kids 24x7, and my Ma and Inlaws every weekend) so no need for me to "visit" during holidays. Both families (mine, hers) are loud/whacky Italians.
(Im only half).

The half that doesnt like being around loud-whacky Italians during holidays. (They step up the "crazy-game" in a major way).

Do you do everything you "NEED" to do, dictated by Hallmark and cult-like calendars? (Easter, Xmas, etc)?

My son I hardly ever see , he has kids that are annoying
I have in-laws I never see either

I find other people taxing

I have no male friends, I only speak to a few women, apart from my wife I dont spend any real quality time with anyone.

Youre guessing wrong. Who says people "NEED" to be w/ family during holidays, especially when seen all the time.

Do you do everything you "NEED" to do, dictated by Hallmark and cult-like calendars? (Easter, Xmas, etc)?
People can do as they please and no-one (but you) has issue w/ it...
I actually feel the same way you do, but it's the opposite at the same time.

I only see my extended family maybe once or twice a year. I roll my eyes when the "Holidays" come around, because it's like everyone is magically connected at the hip, all of a sudden.

However, I always have a great time in the end.

But I only see them a few times a year. If you see them as much as you say, then you better believe that they talk shit about why you are absent, on the most important holidays.

To be honest, I'm getting all "Mr. Scrooge", about the holidays. Not only are they rooted in mostly fake, Pagan history, I have a bunch of over zealous Christians.

The amount of eye rolls over the years..... ::)

I mow their lawns, shovel their snow, etc. (all year long).
Weekend visits are turned into chores for me,  but I like it.
It beats sitting there listening to Italians gossip.

I'm just a realist, when it comes to my extended family. I literally see them once a year.

I don't pretend that we are close, although we have good times together.

Yeah, extended family doesn't get together. It's just my wife (and kids) and her parents really.
They just go from like noon to 5 PM, then are back home w/ me.

I haven't seen extended family in a long time. No one makes big deals out of holidays...

Its sad.....but the "holidays" are dying out. Once people had access to information, they realized that the holidays are just rehashes of older holidays.

There is an article that states that Christianity, may become a minor religion in a few decades.

People are waking up. There may be something out there, but it ain't organized religion.

I don't because I tend to fall a lot and glass would break.  ;D  Tupperware, here!

At dinner I usually eat 6 to 9 cups of cooked rice along with a half to a whole chicken and maybe a can or two of green beans or sweet corn.  That is when I am able to train I eat that for dinner every day.  Have not done that in quite some time now.

If I were ever serious about training, I'd fail with the diet. There is no way in hell I would eat the same meal every day. Also, I could never eat that much in one meal without gagging. It is better for me to eat less each meal, but eat more often, like every couple of hours.

Today I basically only at Thanksgiving dinner. I had a snack of coffee, OJ and a bran muffin for breakfast. I've not eaten since dinner which was almost 8 hours ago now. Maybe I'll have a couple of Pecan Sandies now. LOL.

I'm bringing my Pyrex glassware with color coded lids (only use the "liter" sizes because it's the best way to measure for a monster like me). Will have three servings of grass-fed ground beef (rinsed of course), sweet potatoes (no butter or brown sugar) and wala wala onions.

I have 3 liters of ionized bottled water, in which i will drink exactly 100ML every 14 minutes throughout the first meal. Don't want to over saturate the proteins and stall out digestion.

Will be using my onetouch blood glucose monitoring system to ensure my BS levels are stable throughout the meal. Blasting 30iu of LOG 17.2 minutes before each meal.

After meal 1 myself and Uncle Rob (not associated with big Rob and his bushes) will be doing "towel pulls" back and forth in the living room, activating the lats and preparing the mind muscle connection to enhance the absorbtion of protein for meal 2.

Keep the abs tight at all times.

After meal 2 i will slow down my water intake to 100ML every 9.4 minutes, further increasing the dynamic loading of water molecules to "aid" digestion, but not speed it up too fast to miss the "anabolic window" and LOG peak exactly 31 minutes after ingesting the first bite of grass fed beef (rinsed of course).

Before meal 3 i will be bare chested (freshly shaved with clippers only, i'm going for the muscle bear look this fall) to help cool down from all the anabolism i have created. To really peak on meal 3 i will go into the basement and inject 100mg of Test P and 50mg of Tren A, followed up by 5iu's of GH that i kept cool in my Igloo cooler with "cool packs" that were kept at exactly 42d F, to activate the best GH serum levels post injection. Slam another 30iu of LOG and proceed to arm wrestle all the kids under 15, to make sure i don't overwork myself or bruise any "tendons". Risky move i know, but it's been a family tradition ever since we all watched Predator together when it was released on VHS. I'm always Arnold and the kids take turns being Carl Weathers, since the BLM movement they feel empowered by being the "black man", go figure. Last year my nephew argued that Carl had better vascularity and tricep / bicep separation, this prompted a four hour long conversation on concentration curls and "feeling the muscle" and envisioning the muscle as a mountain. He won't speak on this again, i owned him pretty bad.

Breeze through meal 3. My desert will be Isopure vanilla whey (2 scoops in ionized water). While sipping desert i will stand over the warm apple pie to get a fragrance boost, enhancing the serotonin receptors which aids in digestion (this is a theory my guru told me about).

At this point i will need a 3 hour nap before the drive home, to make sure everything is absorbed effectively and nothing is wasted. Will rise the following morning at 4:15am to do wind sprints across the backyard (King style).

I'm going to be fucking swole and blow the fuck up (from within).

Happy Thanksgaining boys!

Cooking a steak (2), and having some stuffing and potatoes with it. My Ma and Inlaws are close by and I see them all the time, no need to do holidays in my situation.

Yes, I did legs this AM... Felt great to go a bit lighter 8-12 reps on most.
Got back from 45-min walk w/ Buddy... Almost time to fire up the grill for the steaks...

Buddy normally eats pretty strict, but he will get some steak fat/trimmings mixed in with his food today...

Great physique on Budzilla.

This tiny detail tips this post into Hall of Fame territory surely?  Does The Committee[TM] accept nominations?
