That sounds really nice, but not within the context of which McCain did it.  It was in a situation very similar to what happened today with this "Bailout" mess.  John McCain is a temperamental, senile old man who had no business winning the Reb nomination.  Romney would have been a far better choice, but the establishment was not about to back a guy who had the slightest chance to make decisions benefiting the American people.  I couldn't stand Romney during the nomination process, but I wish he was around now.  A Romney/Obama race would be much better than what we have now.
