Are you talking about Chatsworth, CA? Chatsworth, Granada Hills and Northridge CA were nice upper middle class neighborhoods when I lived in South California. My parents put an offer in on a 5,000 sq. ft. ranch house in Chatsworth in the 60's. The owner decided not to sell. It was on a huge lot with no other houses around it. Years later, a developer built up the neighbor hood with upscale track houses on small lots. At the end of a cul-de-sac. This great sprawling ranch home looked completely out of place among the smaller, mostly 2 story track houses. It was very sad.
