The way that Obama chose to communicate with this skit on an internet show might be off-putting to some but I think they're just being old-fashioned.  It seems reasonable to me for a president to make use of whatever mode of communication is popular at the time (if he can competently do so); Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, whatever.  Seems like not many folks are saying that the skit wasn't funny, so I think it worked out fine. 
(And, hey, the haters should be glad that at least he hasn't yet released a Kardashian-style sex tape, OK?)

Seriously, though, it wouldn't surprise me to see politicians trying to get exposure by hanging out on TV shows like Meet the Press go the way of train whistle-stops before too long.

Reading back to through my posts, I was too harsh to someone who I haven't seen here a lot so I can see why you might be a little annoyed.  My (lame) excuse is that the "dignity" argument (used by others before you) just seemed like BS to me so I was a little too unrestrained with what I wrote, I think.  Sorry about that, mang.  Sincerely.

BTW, Negress , you make whatever guesses you want about what's going on with me IRL if it makes ya feel better but I'll tell ya, as a 50-year old guy who's honestly been pretty damn happy with his life for the last 5 years, it doesn't bother me at all.

I will say, though, that the only reason I'm on this board so much is that my fairly decent-paying job (SW QA Field tester of mobile wireless devices) is relocating me from one coast to the other at the end of this month so I haven't had a whole lot to do for weeks now.

BTW, I'm not an Obama supporter (I voted for him the first time but sat out the last election) but I'm not an Obama hater.  I vote Dem because I think the right in this country sucks more than the left and there are really only 2 choices (which seem more and more like 2 slight variations on the same party the more reading I do).  

On a personal level, I'm pretty much a libertarian (like most Getgiggers, probably); I'm in favor of hookers, pot, and steroids.
