Nate Diaz boxing tweet

I'd say two men swapping punches are fighters myself.
This logic could also be used for mma, rounds, rules and referees don't make that a real fight either...

He's saying that boxing is limited, whereas MMA is closer to a No Holds Barred format.

I agree with that.

True, neither is a real fight.

MMA is far from a no holds bared encounter and if being honest there should not be any rounds or time out periods in a match.  It's the last man standing thing. MMA getting close to the point of becoming WWE theater now. With some very suspect matches included.

Professional boxer, all boxing, is based on the athletic skill of defending ones self. That is a number one concern/skill and the counter attack to follow. If gaining a KO, than good for you, but never the main purpose in the original concept of boxing. That is not the case currently. The paying crowd needs that KO and quickly.

A professional street fighter (yes there are professional ones, usually backed by someones  money) follow the mayhem idea.  Give or take no quarter. The last man standing thing once again.

I prefer professional boxing and the skill of most fighters involved myself...but that's just me.

I'd like to see all that crotch sniffing stuff from mma working while big lenny is gauging their eyes out or biting their ball bags off.

he takes a lot of head shots in MMA against sub par boxers
A good boxer will take him apart in a couple of rounds..
