each to his own some people actually watch/enjoy golf...personally i enjoy the game of baseball and make it a point to see a few games every year. if you don't like it don't watch... as far as the initial post check out the 1954 indians= won 111 games lost 43 =68 games over .500 then lost world series to giants in 4 games...

as a side note, in my humble opinion those who disparage the game on here probably had little success playing as a child and remember the humiliation they felt as they struck out time after time after time...it takes real skill to hit a plus 90 mile an hour fastball with a baseball bat 400-500 feet or more..... compare that to running a football into a bunch of slobbering behemoths, or throwing a ball through a 10 ft hoop anybody can do these...

yup 16 since 1900... 2 old timers did it in the late 1800's .until 1885 overhand pitching was banned in baseball.. and up to 1894 the pitching distance was 50 ft....it's been 60 ft 6 inches ever since

He faced a nasty aresenal of pitches from Kluber / Miller, etc. Probably pressing a bit too.
Here's the called strikes - about 4 of the Ks were BS:

Judge, to his credit, did work the count in the ALDS. He didn’t go up there, flail at three pitches for the strikeout, then head back to the dugout. He saw 138 pitches in his 24 plate appearances in the series, or 5.75 pitches per plate appearance. That’s ridiculous. We also saw a Judge take a lot of called strikes in the ALDS. First things first, yes, Judge did get hosed on some called strikes both down below the zone and off the edges of the plate. The called strike three on the strike ’em out, throw ’em out double play last night was particularly bad. Umpires are going to make bad calls sometimes. It happens. With Judge, it seems to happen down at the knees more than anywhere. Umps haven’t adjusted to a 6-foot-7 hitter’s strike zone, I guess.

i'd love for mlb to implement an automated strike zone (but i'm not holding my breath.)

I believe there is zero chance of him being signed.
It's Gleyber Torres time next year at 3B. Unless they trade Castro and move Torres to second to sign Manny.
