Ever talk to some of these hood rats? Nothing is working in their brain. I can't imagine they could do academic work at the 5th grade level.
I read a thing about a grown black man maybe in his late 40's. He said he grew up in suburbia with a hard working father. When his parents divorced his mother got custody and took him to live in the city in a black neighborhood. He was in culture shock. Doing well in school was frowned upon and having goals to have a career was laughed at. He didn't hang outside because of all the crime from fellow blacks. He made it in Wall street but is still in shock of what he was bought up in because of his mother.
