Title: Large movie projectors
Post by: Irongrip400 on August 03, 2015, 03:37:19 PM
Anyone know of a market for these things?  I came across 32 of them (large from an AMC theatre probably 15 years old), and before I junk them, was wondering if there was some sort of oversees market for them.  Vince, you got any inside scoop?

These are big, like for 400 seat theaters.

Oh wait, this is getbig, forgive me for not realizing you live in a mansion. Carry on.

Texas instruments are the best..
Used in most theatres as well as home theater's..
It's about how much you want to spend.

Do a lot of Google searching.   Movie projectors, movie projectionists, movie theatres, etc.  Some smaller indepentent theatres might be very interested.

:D The theaters that I own all have really fancy popcorn machines. That's all I care about.  Well, I care about Rasinetts too.

Are these the ones that take the movie off a a large horizontal platter?

Or do they take 1000 foot reels above and below?

Could be worth a lot of dough depending on the quality of the hardware.
Better seek advice on a forum where people know a thing or two about such stuff...

More similar to the top picture.

The ones with the horizontal platters have more demand.  Don't dawdle selling them if that is what you want to do.  Find buyers then move them out.

More exhibitors are switching to electronic projection each year.
