STOUGHTON, Mass.
A fugitive hearing is scheduled Tuesday for a married bodybuilder couple wanted for the murder of their personal assistant in Las Vegas.
40-year-old Craig Titus and 33-year-old Kelly Ryan were arrested in Stoughton last week, after agents stormed into a nail salon where Ryan had planned to get a pedicure.
They're wanted in Nevada for the murder of their personal assistant, 28-year-old Melissa James. Her body was found earlier this month in the trunk of Ryan's burned-out Jaguar.
In an interview with police before they disappeared, neither Titus nor Ryan admitted any involvement with James' murder.
They told detectives that they fired James and evicted her December 13 because they believed she had been embezzling from them, and that they suspected James stole Ryan's car.
According to court records, Titus told Las Vegas police that he'd had a secret romance with her.
James had worked as a live-in personal assistant to the couple at their Las Vegas home. Her charred body was found December 14 in the trunk of Ryan's burned red 2003 Jaguar in a remote spot southwest of Las Vegas.
Police say Titus and Ryan planned to run off to a country that does not extradite people to the United States.
Titus allegedly told a business partner that he intended to meet a friend in Boston, liquidate his assets and leave the country.
The two are expected to be returned to Las Vegas this week.

Suspected accessory in high-profile murder case due in court
A 23-year-old man is due for his first court appearance Tuesday morning in a high-profile murder case involving a bodybuilder couple from Las Vegas.
Anthony Gross faces arson and accessory to murder charges in the slaying of 28-year-old Melissa James.
James was a personal assistant to 33-year-old fitness champion Kelly Ryan and 40-year-old bodybuilder Craig Titus. Her body was found in the trunk of Ryan's burned-out red Jaguar on December 14th.
Titus and Ryan were arrested near Boston last week while Ryan was getting her nails done. They're due back in Nevada this week.
