bench work

barx20x1
135x20x1
225x5x1
275x5x1
325x5x1
340x3x1
365x1x2 obvious progress...easily blew through two singles no problem and with text book form! Too much work last week and felt it this time so no more back down sets.

upright rows

135x6x1
160x6x1
185x6x1
210x6x1

seated cable rows for a few sets of 10 and pulled on the RT abit..

deadlift day!

135x10x1
315x10x1
495x10x1
585x6x1 all time pr!!! and come to find out my grip isn't as shitty as i thought after all this grip stuff. I've been pulling wihtout chalk and only getting a couple of reps on the bar at work.. well i chalked up today and easily got 7 and probably could've had 8 which is almost where I was at before it all began. HUGE boost of confidence.. each week my goal is to tie my last week if not push for one more rep with a long term goal of 585 for 10!  that would be huge after pulling 495 for 10 imho.

RT chins

10 reps
8 reps
8 reps

all prs!!! i did them with 50lbs additional lbs...

then turned around and pulled 455 for 3 D/O for another all time PR!

was a good day for kicking ass!

it's some weak ass numbers...i wish i had a higher bench and a squat close to 500 again but all i'm good at is pulling..

yesterday i worked up to a set of lunges with 225 for 8 reps each leg, did some curls, wrist rotations, and wrist roller work!

i'm hoping that at the point where i'm pulling 585 for ten that i'll be able to start pulling 635 for sets or just bump up to 675 for a few reps and potentially pull 7 for the first time ever before the year is out... problem is i've said that for years now in my log HAHA but this new plan seems to be steamrolling weekly!

here's my video of my mash monster lvl 1 gripper close...i'm now in line for the mash monster too as well..   http://www.mashmonster.com/

did alot of forearm work today between clients.. felt good!

bench deload

barx20x1
135x10x1
225x5x1
245x5x1
265x5x1
285x5x1
225x20x2  sorry.. typo.. two EFFORTLESS sets of 225 for 20 now that i had a form overhaul and DAMN! EVERYTHING felt light. Although, i knew benching was total body before... tensing everything makes it EXHAUSTING!

JM press

95x12x1
135x10x1
155x8x1

needs to be heavier...

seated RT rows

3 sets

upright rows
115x4x1
145x4x1
185x4x1
225x4x1

some forearm work.. and bent my first horseshoe today.. a st.croix pony! AWESOME!

17 choked reps on the coc #3 with my right hand and 4 with my left. New focus is singles and over crushes instead of reps to get better with the 3.5

Hey Wicked. What is the difference in lbs of your RT DL from left hand to right hand?

Hey Wicked. What is the difference in lbs of your RT DL from left hand to right hand?

it's about even.. 210 on the new handle on my right and 197.5 on my left. Although it hasn't been tested in awhile i'm sure it's higher atleast in my right now. Been training with them religiously and i pulled 210 after doing alot of seated rows with the RT's immediately after and it was easier that it ever has been.

hoping it'll be a few lbs over that really soon.. around 220-230 at the meet i'm going to!

hit some pinch block today with some MASSIVE pinch PR's and some new technique ideas along with some gripper work. Alot of reps and all of them were easy in each hand. Also did 10 sets of 10 with the bar working on some bench technique...all the while wrapping up the first ALN grip series video!

dude this is my 4th week pulling like this and it's just too much for me apparently.. 500 for 10 today was BRUTAL and I skipped my 585 set. Just wasn't feeling it today. I'll do some squatting and some accessory work tomorrow but as a whole i think I'm already overtraining..

i know deadlifts, especially heavy deadlifts, over and over again are VERy taxing on the body (cns/pns/etc.) SO.. that would explain today's problem...if you consider only 500 for 10 a problem but either way, I plan on rotating squats and deadlifts again. One week of pulling and one week of squatting. I think the huge influx of positive bio-chemicals released during squatting from working such large muscle groups found in the legs will help the healing process and actually BOOST the deadlift. I love deadlifting this way and think it will REALLY get me back on track because it's the same way that I got to where I was to begin with. I pulled 585 not a few months after pulling 500 for the first time after training this way!

the stress facture in my right ring finger was ever apparent today leaving me to want to do accessory tomorrow after pulling today... probably a good call anyway. I LOVE my results from ALN. No matter how i'm feeling or what i'm doing before hand, taking it just before lifting REALLY gets me going. LOVE the shit.. wether it's mental or physical (with me it's both.. due to creatine uptake and usuage gically in the muscles and my confidence in my understanding in it's use by my body) it's doing a pretty fucking amazing job. I do miss my maximus though. I feel like I can't really recover fast enough without it but hell taking two shakes of it a day ontop of my typical daily intake would help ANYONE...

damn dude you're gonna have to get a license or make people sign a disclaimer to shake hands soon. :o

HAHAHAHA the funny part..i'm considered strong in the grip community but there are quite a few much stronger than myself. I'm sure you've heard of WADE GILLINGHAM.. dude is a FREAK in grip! Went out and bought out the local feed store of all their horse shoes today to give me some cheap entertainment.. something about doing shit you never thought possible both recently and even as a kid just seems fun to me.

you'd better hit up a few meets someday dude. as in, i'm gonna be pissed off at you if you don't. that's out of control, mang. i step out for a few months and all you bastards went and got ridiculous.

one of my female powerlifting clients will be going for a push-pull record the same time I am in october. I hope to pull 660 or better and bench over 400 for the first time in a meet but unlike me, she will EASILY break the record by over a couple hundo.. I'll have to work for mine. When it's all said and done, if i'm pulling 585 for 10 by then I don't forsee 660 being a problem HAHA. I'm already driving to georgia for a strongman/grip invitational the 20th of june! The best of the best in the grip-strongman community will be there..it would be no different to me than being able to hold my own and compete in an event like "kings of the bench" or the raw unity meet.

BENCH WORK!!

barx10x5 working on the new technique
135x10x1
225x5x1
275x5x1
300x5x1
310x5x1
325x5x1 EFFORTLESS! easiest it's EVER been! and as you work through your sets...the technique gets tighter and tighter and easier and easier! LOVE IT!
225x27x1  HUGE straight set pr!!! all time best! and FAST!

some bench accessory...
fyi.. atlarge nutrition's results and monster energy drink taken together is a BAD idea!!! don't ask me how i know..

closed my HG300 (hard coc #3 equivalent) for 13 reps and hands are feeling good and broke finger is feeling solid!

peeled open a diamond classis 0 horse shoe and a st croix lite 000 even easier.. even though it was harder.. slammed it and will get it on video this friday!

bench accessory from the other day..

dumbbell front raises just because i haven't done these in awhile and don't want something that'll have a HUGE impact on my shoulders outside of my front delts...

40x5x1
50x5x1
60x5x1
70x5x1
80x3x1 each side... i did the sets of 5 to feel them out since it's been awhile.  Had my clients watch me to make sure things were smooth and controlled. Once I started to feel like i needed to swing the weight up I stopped.. HUGE PR right there. Dumbbells looked huge too haha it was kinda cool. I'll try to video it next time and see how it really looks because what it looks like in the mirror isn't always what it really looks like.
60x10x1
50x12x1

tricep work

dumbbell overhead extensions supersetted with dumbbell kickbacks

40x10 for both
50x10 for both
60x10 for both

that about wrapped it all up this week.. chest is BEYOND sore from the rep out..

squatted today... legs are coming back FAST!  and if you're not squatting as deep as you can you need to start.. i'm feeling the squat in places where i've never before AND in places i feel my deadlifting which means they're for SURE going to be complimenting each other!

squats

135x20x1
225x2x1
275x2x1
315x2x1
365x2x1
405x2x1
455x2x1
405x2x5
315x15x1

455 double was my old max a few weeks ago after laying off squatting for awhile.. goal right now is to hit 500 but the 455 double was HARD! All lifts were completely raw and I'm building alot of confidence and not feeling as if I have to rely so much on gear when squatting like knee wraps, etc.

super setted a few sets of 10 with the whole stack+25 with some rolling thunder seated rows and lat pulldowns.

tomorrow is bench day! I can't wait to keep working on this new benching technique! numbers are looking GOOD!
