lying tricep extensions and pressdowns for tricep work (needs more focus)

not a bad day... AT ALL!

timing results before my workouts has been a huge key element. 30 minutes before seems to be perfect.. much longer after that and i start to feel the effects, too soon and I seem to fatigue and gas out during the pressing. 30 minutes pre-workout has it loaded and feeling the effects well through the benching!

guys.. i don't care what you believe or who you buy from.. atlarge nutrition's results is THE supplement I would recommend above all else at this time. shit is amazing

TRX bootcamp!

10 minutes at an intense pace

TRX strength workout 2 week 1

10  minutes again...

TRX again...

10 minutes again and called it a day..


TRX workouts are easy even at the hardest position... I'm getting through each workout in roughly 10-15 minutes and without much work so I'll be using a 20lb weight vest during the next rotation..


did a gripper workout and peeled 2 horseshoes as well....

deadlift day..

pulled up to 585 for a triple

hit 475 for a DO single PR
hit 485 for another right after...
then hit 500 (my long term goal) for a single that wasn't that bad....
hit 405 for 11 DO reps right after for a rep out..


did alot of lat pulldowns and some curls up to 70lbs for 8 reps each before swinging set in then went right back to training clients...

Nice work! I only hit 5-6 reps DO with 405 and then it just hits the floor. ;D

365x3x1 (easiest triple of my career.. and the most comfortable too with this weight.. was supposed to be only a single to wrap up my final rotation in the 5/3/1 modified program I'm doing and went for three and smoked it!)
315x10x1 wasn't too bad..struggled with the last two but got it done.. nice to be consistently seeing that showing up in my log!

tricep work

dumbbell front raises

60x8
70x8 no problem...

shoulders and rotators feel VERY good and ZERO pain!

I know ETS and RESULTS from Atlarge Nutrition...no soreness, no fatigue, NO PROBLEM! Now it's just a few more days until I leave for georgia for the first annual Chad Woodall Invitational

some deload huh HAHA! had to try it..and gas'd at 20! but pulled it off!

another thing that pisses me off about today and this past weekend in general is all the guys at the meet tried to teach me how to rip a phone book in half length wise  (harder) and for the life of me both the night before at the hotel, during the meet, and after, I couldn't do it and it cost me when everyone else could!

...this morning i got the red ass and grabbed two of my phone books..


AND PEELED THEM LIKE ORANGES! BOTH IN UNDER 20 SECONDS!!!!!

needless to say... atleast i figured it out!

dude...my big ass would've struggled with it until today bro!  post it's talked shit!

at the meet i closed a huge gripper, an FBBC hard which equates to being able to crush an unopened beer can in my hand and pulled 252lbs for a HUGE pr on the rolling thunder!

i also pulled a dinney stone easily.. though i'm not sure many here on GETBIG know what that is.. it was fucking SICK! 411lb deadlift with one hand with a rock that has a D-ring attached.

haha working on that..

gripper closes

right hand

HG300 for a few reps
HG350 for 3 reps
COC 3.5 for 1 rep on the gripper I've yet to be able to close!!!! BOOM!
HG350 10 second holds for 3 reps

....on a side not my HG350 is filed WAY down to work on closing smaller gaps and the fact that the handles were abit larger than the traditional gripper handles

left hand

HG300 for 6 closes and a 10 second hold!! SMASHING IT LEFT HANDED NOW!!! HELL YEAH!!!

In my incredibly sleep-deprived state all that comes to mind when you talk about all these gripping feats is the likelihood of a terrible accident during your... "alone time."

500x1x1  cut a little high.. but it was good to see myself doing this completely raw and with little worry.. didn't take much to wake the squats back up. 465 sank like a rock but i didn't feel my hips roll over with 5 so i'm a little disappointed but not much. Seems like the DEEP work I've been doing it working well!

75lbs total weight for 20
125lbs total weight for 20

just finished running my hands through another gripper workout...

left hand closed the coc#3 easily for 3 reps and the HG300 for 3 reps! getting definately stronger!

right hand.. couple of HARD closes with the coc#3 for warmup and 3 REPS WITH MY COC# 3.5!!!! HUGE PR!!! if I nail the set it's a done deal with one hard pump.. if i don't i'm screwed.  Hard to set but closes well..but it does seem to bind.  Just before it finishes i feel the spring slip... go figure!

feeling great today so today i'll max the bench and see where i'm at!

405x1x1 for a solid single! easiest 405 rep in my career.. didn't go higher and will adjust numbers accordingly with 405 as my new max. Very happy.  Added 30lbs back onto the bench and am over all stronger than i've ever been even after the recent injury set back with ZERO shoulder problems!!! that's a first!

and alot of pressdowns.. obviously dumbbells only went up to 50lbs and had a small training revelation in regards to my gains, my size, and overall progress.  I'll put more into detail later.
