I don't think it's being a crybaby to disagree with the path that show is on. Obviously they've taken a step back in recent weeks. If they want to try and elevate their status that's fine, but they would do well to listen to constructive criticism.

I listened to the show and it wasn't bad if it was a sex show but it had little to do with bodybuilding. It's clear Dave wants to be Howard Stern and is setting the guests up to get ridiculed. The MD team totally ambushed LT, building him up with a great intro and kissing his ass only to have Valentino (in his Ronnie Coleman fan club character) bash LT and make fun of him. Then it was followed up with an attempt to start something between him and Kamali. The first BB show of the year is this week and you devoted about 5 minutes to it. That's fine but don't claim to be a bodybuilding radio show. It's hoaky and comes across as Stern wannabes that happen to be backed by a bodybuilding magazine. You can bring Kim Chambers and the doc on any time, if you were a true bodybuilding radio show you'd devote the majority of the show to bodybuilding.

Good luck getting guests back on the show when you ambush them and try to play them as fools.

Dave - I agree bodybuilding should be fun. Let's be real, you know as well as I do that Bodybuilding will never be mainstream. If you need a reminder look at the MD's afterdark photos for proof on why bodybuilding will never be mainstream. Attemping to do a bodybuilding version of Punkd or Stern isn't going to do anything to further it. It will only make it out to be a bigger joke. I'm all for having fun but I guess it comes down to how you define fun.

It's interesting that MD's radio show has no sponsors with their approach, yet PBW is rattling off a different sponsor for every segment.

 I'm going to try to be NON-BIASED and keep peace with both parties. I buy MD every month...I'm fully addicted to Dave Palumbos 'Q&A' on their forum...I'm a believer in Daves 'PPD' diet...Steve Blechman was very generous to me a few years back and so was Gregg...

 I'm also friends w/ Issac and SpecialEd so I'm going to try not to take sides...

 Bodybuilding..not Fitness/Health...BODYBUILDING will always remain a 'cult-sport' and will always have a 'cult-following'.

 I feel a little funny because not to take CREDIT...but I made very detailed POSTS a couple weeks back on how to inject LIFE and listeners to the radio show and I outlined an MD Radio that had a very very Stern-esque feel w/ racy issues and taboo topics. When I listened last night...I felt 'responsible'. It was weird...I made a few detailed POSTS about how and why MD should be more like what I heard last night and when I heard it...I was...not too thrilled.

 I know Dave and MD reads every post about them and thier buisness here.

 Like the way MT INC uses SEX to sell their supplements...why wouldn't MD also use SEX to sell their product? SEX $ells!

 Still...associating PORN STARS with them and thinking that putting a PORN STAR at their booth and hyping up a Melissa Dettwiller and her house-hold appliances to 'bring attention' to them is a little...insulting. Just a little because it has nothing to do w/ BB as a 'sport' and it is so damn obvious that they're pulling out the STOPS to bring attention and listeners in the demographics of...18-23, less than 2 years training expierence, never competed nor ever will, still thinks a picture of Monica brant in a bikini is 'keeeewel dude!' uses lots of supplements, trains CHEST on Monday nights and has no regular or real sex life.

I have no issues or problem with bringing Kim Chambers on a show. Romano brought up the issue of why Kim would be on a "bodybuilding" show and she explained how she got into fitness but they quickly went straight to sounding like 16 year olds asking her the tired questions any guy who has never met an adult film star would do. Hell, Dave you even suggested a threesome with her and the muscle mob. You complain about Colette and how she is disrespected on the boards yet you outright disrespect her on your own show.

It's cool if you guys want to have fun in that manner but stop trying to play us for fools and claim you're a bodybuilding radio show. It's nothing pesonal as I like the guys at MD but I think you're missing the boat on your content.

Well said Issac, if you have ever listened to Howard Stern, he's not shocking all the time. Most of the time he talks about how he hates the FCC, WNBC, Oprah, Opie and Anthony, talks about politics, funny stories in the news, someone from the "wackpack", etc. Since he's been on Sirius he doesn't drop F-Bombs all over the place either. In fact he hardly ever drops one. I think Howard said it best before he started on Sirius saying he recognized the potential and didn't want to abuse the opportunity or freedom.

The discussion with Dave was whether this was a bodybuilding show or a porn show. I am cool with both of them, but just need to know, for I work in an office, and when I have the radio/internet on, it may create just a whee bit of a problem, if someone walks about and listens in at the wrong time.

Also, LT was meant to be serious, to promote the Ironman Pro show, and unfortunately, he didnt get to talk about all on how good this show and the fit expo will be this weekend. It sounded like he was ambushed.

Again, appreciate all of the discussions and dialog on this, and I know, if people don't like it, they don't have to listen to it!

Because while I dont agree with the latest show, I find dialog refreshing, and Romano, Palumbo, and Blechman have always shown me the respect when I see them at shows. After all, the boards are a free speech area which I try to loosely regulate, with the except of various rules that are in the Getbig Quetions section. We have a right to disagree, they are a right to do whatever they want on the radio show.

I have always enjoyed chatting with you in person. However, it seems that you garnered very little respect for this latest radio show.  I don't see one positive comment.... do you?

I really don't know Romano or Blechman so I cannot comment on either of them for what they do.   But I do know Kim Chambers from the adult industry ....  and it does come across that you are really scraping the barrel for radio "celebrity" interviews.   

People here at Getbig know me and seem to appreciate me.  I am honest and candid.  I competed at National level for many years and was fortunate enough to get 22 magazine covers (including one this month).   I am also the only person at date to cross from Fitness into the Adult Business.

So, if you want a candid interview on my life's decisions and experiences and my bodybuilding that would be interesting then send me a PM.
