I don't believe they'd put Grant on because he's a male in the industry. They want a female porn star so they can ask her juvenile questions like a teen-ager going through puberty. "Ummm, how big are your boobs? Do you like it rough and dirty?"

No disrespect to Grant, but I think they need to keep it bodybuilding focused. Maybe have Grant on for a segment but primarily try to get bodybuilding info out there..At least if they are going to call themselves a bodybuilding show.

Grant........I always like you and we've had good conversations.  With that being said, the more criticism that MD receives on this board, the more motivated I am to keep the show going in the direction that we're headed.  I happen to like the "barrel" that we're currently scraping....... I believe that if we keep "scraping" long and hard enough, we'll finally "break through" and people will realize that NO BULL RADIO is a bodybuilding variety show that features all facets of the bodybuiding lifestyle (including sex, comedy, and having fun).  After all, isn't that what life's all about?

As for your statement . . .  " know Kim Chambers from the adult industry ....  and it does come across that you are really scraping the barrel for radio "celebrity" interviews."   
I have to say that I'm more than a little surprised that you'd make a statement like that considering that you and Kim dated for a while and that SHE introduced you to the porn industry.  But, I guess that's between you and her.  All I know is that Kim's a well-spoken, attractive, woman.  She's impressed me enough to hire her to do candid interviews and to work the booth at the ARNOLD CLASSIC EXPO.

Isaac, I didn't know you were such a "purist".  Bodybuilding is meant to be fun.  It's a sport, hobby, lifestyle.  If you can't have fun with it, then it becomes boring; and, in my opinion, THAT'S WHY IT'S NOT MAINSTREAM.  It's because, our industry as a whole takes ourselves too goddam seriously.  We think we're so freakin' important.  When we learn to laugh at ourselves and drop the "body armour" muscle-bound persona, we'll "open" ourselves up to the rest of the world.  And, perhaps, just perhaps, they will embrace us as approachable, real, people-- not some cyborg, muscle-freaks, that can't relate to the rest of "mainstream" society.

Tell the MD mods to stop taking themselves so goddamn seriously then and unban me instead of waiting the 2 bullshit weeks.  They all seem to be wearing the "Body Armor" that you speak of.

First Kim Chambers, now Grant Michaels? Well, I will say that Grant would be a lot more legit than Kim, considering his competition experience, the amount of covers he's gotten and so forth, but the bottom line is he's still a porn star and that should end all discussion regarding Michaels as a guest, as a member of the team, whatever.

No Kim Chambers, no Grant Michaels, no Belladonna, no Lex Steele. Bodybuilding has a hard enough time trying to convince people there are members of the "community" with class and dignity. Seems like Palumbo is dead set on doing his best to disprove that theory. How Steve Blechman is allowing the trash that is being spewed out each week to continue (actually, it's getting worse) is really mind boggling.

I agree with Ron that Lonnie Teper was obviously "ambushed" by what took place when he appeared on the show. I looked forward to his analysis of the Pro Ironman since his predictions have been pretty much right on over the years. But, all he ended up being was a pawn for another juvenile spoof. 

At first I was glad MD Radio was created as it's good to have competition in the industry since it "spreads the word" about the sport. Sorry I can't say that any longer.

I find it odd that Dave says that he wants Getbiggers to hate his show, when Romano obviously cares very much about our opinion, as he stated below. Kind of ironic how he says "if you can't stand the stink, get out of the fuckin gym" though. If only he followed his own advice.

I couldn't have said it better!!  Remember when I pissed you all off with my editorial dissing the boards?  Well, that is how you guys earned my respect.  My assistant has combed the boards for me - GetBig, Mayhem, and BB.com for a little over two years now.  Out of all the info she has gathered for me on the pulse of this hing we do, GetBig has BY FAR out paced the other boards.  Some say you guys are too brash or rude and crude, but I say, "if you can't stand the stink get the f**k out of the gym."  Bodybuilding - HARDCORE bodybuilding - is made up of bad-ass dudes, some with tattoos, scars, and facial hair, who speak in expletives and aren't afraid to tell someone they suck if that's the truth.  Keep it hardcore and keep it real.  At least back in the day, that's what it was all about.  I trained in Venice CA at Golds and/or World gym from 1979 to 1999 when I left the country.  That was hardcore, that was head strong, that is what it missing in almost every gym in the country today because they all turned into "health clubs."  But not here.  That's why I like this place.  That's why I have chosen to participate here and no other board - except of course when our MD boards go up.  Then I'll straddle.  There will always be exceptions and the odd asshole, but for the mot part, you guys make me feel like I did back in the day.  I think there is some real talent here.  I can't tell you how many times I've laughed my ass off reading threads here, or learned something, or gotten a perspective I hadn't thought of.  Yawn elsewhere.  So, yes, I am serious.  500 words or less, every month in Romano Factor, I will dedicate to the offering you guys contrive and you guys choose.  I would like to see someone representing.  However, it is all up to you.  Perhaps it could be like a contest each month?  Everyone gets a turn? Vote a member to contribute? It is all up to you.  I need it by the 15th of each month - that's the only rule.  Well, almost.  I am going to have to retain the right to refuse anything that will piss off advertisers too much, it can't be too nasty, and no one gets hurt.  And I will be very lenient.  So, have at it.  This being the first month, I'll extend the deadline to the 20th.  Any questions?

I'd venture to guess that if you tok a vote, the overwhelming majority would say the best thing Dave contributed to MD Radio was when he talked about his approach to diet and getting lean. Why stray from what people enjoy hearing vs feeding one's own ego?

Dave is the one who said he wants his show to be hated though. I am assuming JR would at least listen to our advice judging by the fact that he said Getbig "far outpaces" all the other boards. I am sure JR reads this board, so maybe it will change for the better?
