Shawn was lucky he did as well as he did but in his defense he only competed once a year and only beat guys who were off and competed multiple times a year , he did try once compete in another show and got his ass handed to him there too , 5th place.

Easy to look your best when you only have to peak once a year

Better then Yates ever dreamed of being. I don't care how many Sandows Yates has. You take 2 from him, and give them to Sean (which he deserved) then it wouldn't be such a disparity.

Shawn tried to play the size game and competed at 215lbs and wasn't as sharp and was marked down for it

He competed at 205lbs in contest shape and when he won the Nationals in 1987 he was 196lbs so put on a whopping 9lbs as a pro 

Another myth is the other guys only won because they were mass monsters , Shawn was a mass monster on a smaller scale he was just pissed because he was 5'7" in heels , he competed at 205lbs and was much heavier than guys around his size like Labrada who competed at 190lbs and Samir who competed who won his Olympia at 188lbs , then Porter Cottrell who was 195lbs at around the same height , Shawn was a mass monster he just didn't have the height to go along with it.

I think bodybuilding should be about what you would want to look like. I would rather look like Sean Ray, then any other bodybuilder in history. Arnold would be my second choice.

those two, he's better than chick and flex wheeler.  i can partially agree he has had his problems with the others.  then again, most athletes bottom out in the business sector, but he was good for his day at promoting himself.
