Depends which state you're in, I suppose. Let's be real: no matter what you earn: if you are frugal and avoid entertainment, partying and holidays, you can save up and eventually make your wealth build up. You seem to enjoy going out and partying with recreational drugs. You'd need a lot of money to live the way you do. Someone that works, goes home, goes gym and is a homebody won't need anywhere near that.

There are different regions in the country with vastly different economic profiles.
But yes, costs have gone up since the last administration took office.
