use what everyone is saying as motivation...cardio 2x day + ECA, low carbs and weight training and see what happens. Worse case scenario is that you get real lean for the summer.
Start a progress thead and post pics 1 per week. Look at what Kyomu did and follow it exactly. The key is just to stay motivated.

Beer on weekends, pizza here and there, etc. So, planned dieting is gonna have to be at the forefront. Training has always been fun for me, so that's not a prob at all. I'm starting daily cardio for 30 min. and keep this up for the month of June. I'll re-evaluate the entire program July 1 and make adjustments in all areas. I have a week vacation planned for Oct. 1, so don't know if I'll be in the contest. However, I will def post pics just before the vacation begins. From what I gather, pics for the contest have to be taken Oct. 16, so I dunno. I expect to catch hell for this, but I really did'nt know how/when contest pics were required. Anyway, that does'nt really matter to me. Making a change in my body is what I'm focused on. What do you think about the prep? Any suggestions? Thanks

You can make the Mr Getbig no problem fyi. With about 20 weeks to go, you could in theory lose 40lbs - which is realistically speaking over the amount you need to, meaning you can take your time cut down slowly and maintain muscle. Your legs are weaker as you know, and posing needs work which can be fixed quite easily - and you do have potential with your upper body.
The daily cardio of 30 mins could be increased timewise as you go on, but really if you have not been doing any prior and you are consistent that will help quite a lot. Diet is more key though.
Whichever way, best of luck and do whatever makes you happy.

I'll share with u what I am currently doing...
I'm eating 6 times/day
High lean protein/ low complex carbs/water only to drink( gallon/day)
meal 1...8 egg whites/2 yolks and 1 cup oatmeal
meal 2...60 gram protein shake
meal 3...1 cup rice and 12 oz chix breast
meal 4...60 gram protein shake
meal 5...2 turkey burgers and 1 cup brocolli
meal 6...60 gram protein shake
I've dropped 7 lbs on the scale this 1st week and have def tightened a little. Most is water weight by significantly lowering my carbs. I've even cramped a little. I'm guessing I'll drop less next week..perhaps 2-3..but I'll def be tapping into fat! My strength has been affected slightly, but I'm lifting heavy. My lean body mass is around 185. So, I want to hang onto as much of that as possible while shedding fat and dropping the scale. What do you guys think?

I think 2-3 more weeks of dieting this thread will turn right around. This guy took a beating for the following reasons..yes sir, "OneTimer"
1. He didn't know how to pose
2. He has some bodyfat
3. He was probably misinformed so he said he was a percentage that no would believe
4. We all know that the snow ball effect took place here. 1 person starts all of Getbig follows, this the Getbig way.
He wasn't made fun of for having small muscles per se. He does have muscle in every major muscle group, certainly no visible muscle but if sticks to his diet he would look better then most getbiggers. He has good size arms and back for a natural so give the guy a chane afterall he did take things like a good sport. Dov you lose your diet I will never back you up again.

hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I plan on posting updated pics this weekend 6-27-08...3 weeks since I've posted new pics...been working hard, so I will expect a wide range of comments! ;DDon't worry about what people say since you are still in the the process, but as long as you 've been keeping your carbs to a minimum the fat should be coming off steadily, whatever you do don't cheat.

Thanks guys, I got a little ways to go...I'm enjoying the processI know you are very good at taking advise so here are a few thing IMO, put your feet closer together to target the outer thigh a bit more, and if you aren't already doing deadlifts then start because you have a great upper back and great delts too, so by bringing your lower back up should do the trick, one more flex your legs when you pose. Great Job I knew you wouldn't let us down, you have abs now, keep going and looking forward to seeing your next pics. Dov is the man ;D

well if i'm wrong and you are telling the truth, you should take it as a compliment that i think you have used something.I really have'nt EVER taken anything, so thanks for the compliment. Like I've said before, I love to train and take care of my body. I'll never forget the guys in my gym who were obvious drug abusers. I was 14 yrs old, got a membership to a Golds gym in town, and had no clue! I would see these big ass men throwin round heavy ass weight and they were HUGE!!! They were very intense and I was very intimidated. Every now and then they would disappear from the gym for a few months. The next time I would see them, I swear they looked like they had AIDS!!! They were mere shadows of themselves. They would very quickly re-gain all of their mass and poundages. This cycle would happen quite often. Later, of course, I found out what was going on(remember, I was only 14 yrs old) and have ALWAYS been turned off by the cheapness and laziness of a steroid user.

bump for an update. :)I'm doing alright..up about 10 lbs on the scale from when I took my pics. I feel really good at this weight(190)...I'm eating very clean 6 days of the week and really going off the diet on the 7th day!!! I'm still lifting strict and heavy as always..big movements...cardio 4 x week for an intense 20 min...I feel good
