Wasn't this is campaign promise?

Would be a smart move.  Clinton did it.

I missed the promise or forgot but I have no problem with it.  Dean jumped very fast today to defend it saying even though we disagree with a lot of things, there is common ground and said republicans have good ideas too.

Maybe some repubs in name only.

So far it's nothing but the left of the left.  So much for unification and bipartisanship.

you know you'll just call whoever joins him liberal.  Is Sen. Hagel a lib because he was critical of Bush? Powell, republican in name only ::)

You didn't seem to have a problem with the Republicans "in name only" (including GWB) that filled the Bush White House.

So instead of admitting that which you know to be true it's easier to spin what I said and label the opposition.  Typical.  Rob Emmanuel was a good start ;D.

Why, because I've had to spend so much time arguing with libs on here?  Please, Bush isn't our golden boy and McCain wouldn't have been an improvement IMO but compared to Obama, definitely.  I don't understand why all you libertarians don't vote for the most conservative candidate who actually has a chance at winning.  The country won't accept the libertarian party overnight yet you keep throwing away your votes and refusing to see the difference between voting for someone who totally represents individual rights yet has no chance at winning or someone who at least somewhat or mostly represents individual rights and actually might make it.

Funny how far Hagel has deviated from conservatives in recent years and HE's the one Obama picks.  It's not "reaching over the isle" the guy keeps siding with dems, moron. ;D

And we all know Powell.. more of a 'staff' officer, not so much combat material and it shows.
